Firms under watch for violations

Employers will have to submit copies of their monthly payrolls to the Labour Ministry from next month as part of a new initiative to ensure regular salary payment by companies.

The director of the Inspection department in the labour Ministry, Mohamed al-Naimi, said yesterday that companies would have to regularly submit a copy of their payrolls that had been forwarded to the bank when remitting staff salaries. “We have created a database of private firms in the country and their staff,” al-Naimi said.
