Nobody is happy here that 6 people have lost their lives. In fact, my full sympathies are with those children and their bereaved parents. However, I do wish some Qataris like you show equal aggression against those locals who find it funny to run their LCs over Indians & Nepalis and joke about it on the QL.

Allahu Must3aan, what a trial indeed. I can't even begin to imagine how painful this must be for you and your brother. Truly may Allah grant His utmost Mercy on the deceased young brothers and May they enter paradise..Aameen.

Yes people can be extremely harsh in their assumptions. Not only are they quick to tar everyone with the same brush, they would even go as far as celebrating another's tragedy simply because they assumed they must be at fault..Audubillah!

Everybody has got their own perspective. In many countries, getting killed due to rash driving will be called stupidity. In my country, it will be called destiny. In countries like Qatar & Saudi, it will be called bravery. I have read many posts from natives that how proud they are of rash driving and killing Indians & Nepalis crossing the road.........God's job must be very difficult blessing the souls of each one dying because of their stupidity, destiny or bravery.

Allah has designed this world and he is the owner of every things in it. He gives and takes things as per his design and we are helpless. He has given us a total month in a year to realize his presence and bounties for the love he has towards us, still we dont believe him and his greatness and always end up doing things of our interests and call it freedom/of speech.

FJ well said & true

Helene wake up dear, you are in allah's world, look around things and at yourselves. Law/rules are being made from years, centuries and millenniums, but man has still to transform after being in this world over million years.

I support ur opinion Helen. Do u know that, many local people gets the driving license by starting the engine, goes forward 50 meters and press the break. That's it. That's the test they have to give.

I find it so very hard to understand the claim "destiny" with these tragic & totally preventable accidents causing death. Not to mention the children running riot around cars totally free to be severely injured.

A Qatari told me that many locals learn to drive in the desert - and have never have had any proper training! Until the powers-that-be realise how very dangerous this practice is and instigate some strict rules for testing to make sure drivers know how to drive safely, then many people will continue to die.

I do understand the religious significance of "destiny" however I don't understand why the people left behind have to suffer because of people driving carelessly and unsafely.

May their soul's rest in peace.I think accident within Qatar boils down to indiscipline by lot of Qatari kids, they drive as if they are on drugs and still have the guts to harass who ever question their insolence.....May Allah give their family the strength to bear the loss....But the proactive measures should be taken by letting the young drivers understand they owe themselves, family, friends and pedestrian their safety and has to behave responsible when it come to driving....And the law enforcement agent should do more than the camera surveillance on the road.....Surveillance police vehicle should be on strategic highway to curb over speeding...

Here we go again. Returning from Iftar tonight, I noticed similar grazy drivers on the road. This accident will not change anything. Strict law enforcement is required.
