Formula 1 - Chinese Grand Prix

As the championship moves towards its climax, qualifying for the 56-lap Chinese Grand Prix was always going to be a critical session for the three championship hopefuls. After dominating practice at the 5.451km Shanghai International Circuit, it was championship leader Lewis Hamilton who got the job done to claim that all-important pole position

Felipe Massa looks ahead to the penultimate round of the championship from third position on the grid, a full half second behind Hamilton. Strategy, as ever, can still play a hand on race day as can the weather which is currently predicted to be unsettled on Sunday afternoon

So lets see how wins tmrw, as Alonso said he would help Massa and Kovalinen is distence 5th which will not be much of a help for Hamilton, But a fast start could make ne things happen...

remember that "Team orders" are not allowed...

Now if Raikonen should happen to miss a gear on the straight or take a few seconds longer in the pits, then that is not Ferrari's doing .. Is it ??

I have all my digits crossed and hoping that a miracle will see Massa win and hamilton not score points. Then it will be all on the last race..

However, my head says that Hamilton will win the Championship..

By bakamuna• 19 Oct 2008 08:16
bakamuna

ohh another 1 hour to go and i am tensed as lewis or massa....the start is going to be the best....lewis will have to see three attacks coming his way and he has to let go someone in front and if its raikonen or Alonso then they will make sure they control the pace till the pit stops so that Ferrari can do a good work and get Massa out in front... Alonso is still eying for a seat in ferrari so this his best chance to show his interest :)

Alonso If you are checking Qatar living...Just push Lewis in to grass :)

Oh I loved it but it rained the whole time, we stood there in the rain for 4 hours until the race started - it was horrible - I've never been that wet & cold in my life!!! It was worth it though but bought covered seats for next year!!

Thank you for the advise re Bahrain as it's something you forget when sat in a very cold wet country all the time!! ha ha!!

The noise and the smell of fuel in the air is intoxicating.. The "F1 Babes" are a bonus..

I went to Bahrain two years ago.. Its great, but make sure you get good seats.. Its very hot and not too nice sitting in the stands right in the Sun..

Chris_n_Jo_Thornton

Why don't you like Hamilton?? Just wondered as I love him to bits!! ha ha!! I never liked F1 as it was so noisey on the tv but my Hubby is a mad supporter, so for his 30th Birthday this year I took him as a surprise to Silverstone & saw Lewis win - i'm totally hooked now!! We have booked to go next year & we hope to go to the one at Bahrain if we can get tickets once we are settled in Qatar.

I am biased because I detest Hamilton. However, Ferrarui have shot themselves in the foot too many times this year.

It's already been a bad year, so I presume the gods of F1 are smiling on Lewis and McLaren..

Hamilton could be penalised by stewards for an incident during Saturday morning practice in China.

Last year when Hamilton came to chine he had a 17 point lead, what happend end of the race is known to all, and in the end in Brazil he pressed the wrong button :) we all know that, he is famous to make such mistakes soo we can expect something from him...

My prediction for the start:

Raikonen will have a better start and will pass Hamilton and fernando alonso will attack from the other side Hamiton has to defend one side and Massa will pass him before the first corner...oh man i love too see this happen...

By anonymous• 18 Oct 2008 11:53
