thank you for the info
thank you
I have asked about it in many places but the answer was always negative
cream== basically is a fairly thick, relatively high-butterfat cream..
whereas creme == is errr slightly tangy, slightly nutty, thickened cream. Initially it is made up of bacteria (?) then pasteurizaton takes place, the cream will be fermented and thickened after wards..voila, you have your creme...
i think it will be available at AppleBees ..
if not i can do it for you i have 11 yr experience in cooking :)

u know i registered just to give you a reply coz no one seemed to be helping you. all along i used to be just a visitor at QL. anyways you do get it here in doha, but i had it long ago & dont know if they still serve it. there is this Chinese restaurant in the Centre (behind Ramada), they serve it there, or atleast they used. i think the name of the restaurant is Great Wall, i forget, not sure
It is made by taking a scoop of deep-frozen ice cream (frozen well below the temperature at which ice cream is generally kept), possibly rolling it in egg, then rolling in cornflakes or cookie crumbs, and then briefly deep frying -- the extremely low temperature of the ice cream prevents it from melting while being fried. Finally, it might be sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and a touch of peppermint.
I've heard about fried ice cream, but never tried it before...sounds like an interesting dish. Let's hope there's a place in Qatar :-) if I do come across it, will let u know.
as i told up...we have those on Philippines, honestly we do...and it taste good..they made it from different mixture of fruit flavored syrup..
a flat super frozen metal base, from which they will pour the mixture and since it is super frozen (the metal thingy) mixture will harden..and since it is done on a flat thing, and they use spatula (flat ones) to scoop it up..they call it fried ones..:)
know where it is served. don't worry I will not ask you to invite me. but I am a good guy (I guess) and will not feel happy to eat alone so I will send you one serving as home or office delivery
