My family and I currently live in Singapore. We are American, with an opportunity to relocate to Doha. Is it the good life?? Or should we stay in Singers?
I've been in Doha for 14 months. I love it. I like the weather (most of the year) I like being close to work, the malls, the supermarket, the desert, the corniche. I love being able to afford a nice car, membership at the Four Seasons. I like being able to save money. I get home by 6pm, in the UK it was more likely 9pm and up again at 5am to drive to work !.
Most of the people you meet greet you with a smile.
Bad things.......Red Tape, Landcruisers, maybe a little too relaxed !, lack of concern for road safety, unable to queue, expensive rents, I'm sure the list will grow.
But so far I've never woken up and regretted moving to Qatar
