Oh nice one,.I've been to Dukhan thrice and the beach is indeed not that clean,I went there for barbeque only.. I'll probably go in Furwairit beach soon.maybe after ramadan..it would be uncomfy to swim with a lot of clothes on.:p
Its my first run up there PS. I don't know why I haven't bothered before. I keep thinking of Qatar as just Doha. Dukhan gets a visit from me every now and again. But it gets a bit crowded at times there, and the beach can be quite dirty with lots of rubbish laying around. Furwairit Beach is much, much bigger and was nice and clean. So my next swim in the sea will probably be up there.
These two locations are well worth a drive. Furwairit Beach is gorgeous and only 45 mins drive away from Doha. There is lots to see at Shamal and that is 1 hour away (100km). Both locations are superb for photography.
