Heyy, anyone have any tips or ideas of how to get a job out here? Like I mean im 17, be 18 in april and im here because my parents work here and I get so damn bored id love to work and make some money, im american so obviously english is my native tongue, so I guess that can be put to some use?! Ive had several jobs when I was back in america so im not new to the working experience..

Ive allready asked a few places about work but they thought I was joking, one guy even got offended, I was in applebeas and I asked him how he went about getting a job there and who id have to see and he got really offended, I guess he thought I was insulting him somehow? Eh. So if anyone has tips in the least thatd be lovely, I really need some work to do, im not use to not having a job. If it helps im a really talkey friendly guy :] so if anyones looking to hire lemme know where I can send my resume

JOECJ, I didn't say that he will not get job but how can he build a strong CV as you suggested if he just 18th and don't know what to do...unless he want to accept low paid job...up to him..

Check out places like Sylvan learning Center, they are always interested in first language speakers. You could also look into being an aide in a school. I think that Compass pays the best but the American School might be more up your alley. Also, there is always tutoring. You could make good money if you are fairly academic and flexible. Good luck!

Brother, at 18 it's too young to look for money...continue your study to higher degree and come back later when you get certifcate....

get a strong CV together with all your skills and previous experience.

The other thing is if your parents work here, see if you can get sponsorship because i think getting the work visa is the hardest part.

check on sites like monster gulf and post youre CV up on there also

hope this helps
