Going to Dubai with the Kids? Keep Them Busy with These Three Awesome, Fun-Filled Kiddie Adventures in Dubai
If you’re planning on visiting Dubai with your children, there are many fun activities that would keep them occupied for hours. Not only will they have lots of fun, they are bound to learn lots of new skills and discover new talents.
Here is a list of my personal three favorite children’s activities in Dubai:
1. Adventure Zone at Adventure HQ
Adventure HQ is my personal favorite and my children absolutely loved it. Adventure HQ is a retail store that offers all kinds of outdoor adventure equipment and gear. You name it they have it. To add to the spirit of its outdoor adventure theme, it added the Adventure Zone to its various stores dotted around Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Customers loved it and it gave Adventure HQ an edge over its competitors. There are various different activities to choose from at Adventure Zone which include wall climbing, zip-lining, an adventure obstacle course, low ropes and high ropes courses, themed walls, boulder wall, caving, pump track, and a lodge that can be used for corporate team building events and kids parties. There is also a café that serves nutritious food. My children absolutely loved the activities and kept wanting to go back again and again. It’s definitely worth visiting. The only problem we had was that all the activities were not under any one roof. There are Adventure Zones at Times Square Center, Galleria Mall and The Walk at JBR in Dubai and in Abu Dhabi at Yas Mall and Dalma Mall. All these outlets have different activities and if you want to try them you will have to visit the different outlets, but it’s worth it, and your children will love it. That’s my guarantee.
2. Kidzania
Kidzania is located in Dubai Mall and is a must go for children between the ages of 4 and 16. My children thought Kidzania was awesome because they got to role play 80 adults activities and jobs for the day, and they even got paid for the jobs they did with KidZos, Kidzania’s official currency. Children in KidZania can then use the KidZos to buy things in KidZania. This 80,000 square feet fun place is built like a real city but on a child scale. There are buildings, cars, paved streets and roads, a role play economy and places that are well-known because they are branded and sponsored by local and multi-national brands. Parents are welcome to stay and watch their children, or can leave them in this safe and secure environment (all children are given a special security bracelet), and enjoy some shopping while the children play. There is even a separate area for toddlers to play in a fun-filled play area. The edutainment center is supervised by specially trained staff that are adept at their job. Do visit, the children will love it.
3. Sky Dubai
Ski Dubai is located in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai and is the first of its kind in the Gulf region. It’s the biggest indoor ski resort and snow park in the world, complete with real snow and even snow penguins; it spans 3,000 square meters, and is another must-do activity for children and adults alike. Don your snow gear and outfit available at the venue and enjoy a fun-filled day in a -4 degrees Celsius environment in the snow with activities that include tobogganing, snowboarding, skiing, zip-lining, the Great Ball run, a chairlift ride, coming down the tube slides and a whole lot more. It’s definitely a great way to spend the day.
