Going too far ? Fake boobs for toddlers

Am I the only one who finds this over the top ?

I am not a fan of toddler beauty pageants , but I can understand those who enter their kids.. But this is taking it to a new level .. :O(

Barely out of nappies, four-year-old Maddy Jackson is already on the road to womanhood.

Sporting fake C cup breasts and padding on her bottom, she is the latest shock contestant on Toddlers and Tiaras, the U.S. reality show revealing the surreal world of beauty pageants.

In an attempt to mimic her curvaceous icon, country singer Dolly Parton - who is known for her ample cleavage - the toddler is shown sporting detachable bust and butt enhancements, before performing live on stage.

With the extra padding concealed under her Barbie pink Lycra catsuit, Maddy's tiny frame is transformed into an hourglass silhouette.

Barely able to string a sentence together, many will be shocked by the images of the peroxide blonde trying to emulate the appearance of a woman in her late 20s

A month away from QL and what a post to make my comeback! But yes this is disgusting and is clearly robbing the child of her innocence. Shame on her parents!

Sick, plain and simple.Imho it is deranged to look like Dolly Parton or Pamela Anderson in the first place, but to make a small child look like that is beyond all reason. SICK people.

Fancy dress I can understand. That is a bit of fun. School plays I can understand. If this was a Bugsy Malone production fair enough. But this is neither. This is a mother (and/or father who knows) deliberately sexulising a four year old girl to win a prize. This is for their self gratification and they don't care about how they are f**king with her mind, or how badly her values are going to be affected for the future.

Call me an old fuddyduddy if you like, but to me this is wrong.

the kid looks way older than her age........... :( nothing wrong if you let your children join a competition in a such young age., but its disturbing for me that parents can let their 4 year old kid to look/act like a sex symbol (which Dolly Parton is) in front of millions of people (as this is a reality tv show). The parents has gone way over to the top on this.. Too bad how people are willing to do in favor of a one-minute fame :( ., especially if you are using your kid for this.

Two sponge packs on the chest doesn't rob her childhood! It is kind of funny though!

Idiots..........not the parents...........but those who are farting so big on a nonissue like this. Small children put on mustaches and beards in a play.....does it mean that somebody is taking away their childhood from them........Pretending to be adult is  a part of growing up. The problem is not that show. The real problem is your sick mentality which cannot overcome your obsession with boobs............idiots.

The Fashion World isn't helping.  They make these anorexic beam poles out to be what is considered "beautiful", when I find most of them to be sick looking.  Sorry if any one here is anorexic or a beam pole, but it's true.  You have little girls starving themselves or even commiting suicide, because of that society.

A 4-year-old child? Is this not CHILD ABUSE at its best?

Sick parents - and worse: Sick are the creators of this show to allow parents to rob their kids from their childhood!!!

relax guys! its just a sort of role playing taken way too far.now if u will actually see a child dressed up like this out on the street then its time to call social services or its equivalent.no child should be made to act or dress up other than what they ought to be. it would corrupt their values at such a young age!

Brit, In a fancy dress, if we mimic a celebrity, we need to portray all the typical physical features and mannerisms of the person. I wouldn't let my child choose celebrities like these as it would be difficult to do justice to the subject without artificial enhancements of such physical features. Once someone has been given such a subject, I wouldn't leave any stone unturned to excel in what I or my child will do.

In this case, you said, it was a beauty contest in the true sense, then no particular theme must have been given to the participants. In such a case, why did they allow a child to use enhancements? Iam still to see a beauty contest, even for children, where such enhancements are allowed to be used.

Mimicking buxom ladies like Dolly Parton or Pamela Andserson wouldn't be fun otherwise..

Its probably more of a fancy dress kind of a competition than a regular beauty contest. Had it been the later, such accessories wouldn't be allowed on the first place.
