If you are muslim, I hope this will be a time of peaceful reflection on your faith. May you show us non-muslims the best of islam.

If you are not muslim, I hope you survive the the month with little hardship. May we all learn something good about islam during their holy month.

:)

now u r confusing me.

That's why I respect Islam and Christianity (which are the 2 religions I know the most about in terms of their basic tenents). As I said, sometimes I don't respect the way people follow their religion, but no disrespect to the religion itself.

Have a good Ramadan.

thnx alot xxxpat..

dotto i was xpectin u to b chained by now :)..

jst wanna say one thng,if u wanna judge a religion, dnt judge it by its followers bt do it by its scripture, for muslims its the Holy Quran ..

I think you would have a hard time finding me badmouthing islam. Muslims, maybe, just like I might badmouth people who claim to be Christians but do bad things.

On the other hand, it's pretty clear that you are not prepared to lice in a world with Westerners, as much hate as you have for us and our way of life. So indeed I would expect you to be rude and disrespectful if we met, since that is the way you treat westerners here on qatarliving. You have a huge chip on your shoulders, mate, and I pray you will gain some humanity this Ramadan.

i never went to a single islamic madrasah (school) for study, but if we ever meet in real, and i found you or anyone else badmouthing against my religion, my reaction will be worse than my posts/comments.

By ex.ex.expat• 10 Aug 2010 23:01

guided by our religion then what we do is a reflection of that (both good and bad).

And I believe Qatarliving is a pretty accurate reflection of how people are. After all, this is when we speak our mids without worrying about accountability. To me that is as honest as it gets. For example, I think if I met you, you might not have the nerve to say what you say here, but you definitely feel it (and I know how you feel because you have stated your opinions over and over).

By anonymous• 10 Aug 2010 22:47

Ramadan Mubarak to All of You.

PS: xxxpat -- i'll not say that i've learned alot about christians on qatarliving, bcoz simply i don't believe on wat they had said on Qatarliving, and i do believe that qatarliving doesn't reflect someone truely.

If you sighted the moon then its Ramadan so you can go ahead and wish the folks. However its always better to say "Ramadan Mubarak" than "Ramadan Kareem". Cos in Islam its recommend the former. The reason being that its not Ramadan thats "Al Kareem" its Allah.Hope I'm not confusing you more..lol. Anyways yeah its been declared tomorrow's Ramadan so.. Ramadan Mubarak to all my QL friends!!

ice-maiden would have said to Jack Mohan for his honest mistake. In fact, it surprised me that ANY muslims would be critical of Ramadan greetings given by non-muslims. I learn a lot from qatarliving ;)

May Allah grant us all his blessings, mercy & guidance this Ramadan..and for those who are fasting may Allah accept it from you..aameen! The Prophet Muhammad said ""When Ramadan comes, the gates of Heaven are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained." So maybe we'll see some peace & love around QL then,eh? ;D
