He threw a poser at the policy makers: "Do we have teachers of the kind that produced luminaries like CV Raman, Homi jehangir Bhabha and Dr Rajendra Prasad? Those teachers may not have high sounding degrees and diplomas, but they had the passion of teaching and that reflected in what they did with their students," Anand who coached free of cost 30 underprivileged students for IITs for the last one decade, said.

"There is acute scarcity of teachers at all levels - be it schools, colleges or universities - across the country. It has put a question mark over the future of the country", said Super 30 founder Anand Kumar here on Wednesday while speaking at a function held here on the eve of Teachers' Day.

"What was once viewed as the most sought after profession is today least attractive for the talented youths, which has resulted in lakhs of vacant posts of teachers," said mathematician Anand Kumar.

No that worst prank i did, was with the chemistry teacher, after I knew that he has allergy from perfume, I bought a very cheap perfume and sprayed it all over the class room and the first row students,, Thank God he didn't die :O)

Sulie i remember you tellin me the prank you played for one of ur physical teacher (PT) and he poked his fingers in both of ur eyes and no wonder ur eyes although its open we see it as Closed...:)

We have more kids population than women and we have more women than men. A kid's first school is her mother's lap.

It is important for kids to teach how to think than to make them think like how we think & allow

them go much further than where you are standing.

I can still recall the knee length boots and heady perfume of my French Teacher :)

You can take responsibility for at least one kid to teach something... either counting, or alphabets, or rhymes, or language, or geography, or history or computers, there is always something you can do... even here in Qatar.

No need to teach them angrybirds they all seem to know it... lol

Dont forget MIL's. They are well experienced teachers too
