visit to New Delhi last night at Times Now and 'Conclave'

For his real effort to correct Pakistan's image in the world and especially to create some sense of responsibility to Indian Media for distortion of Pakistan's reality and sovereignty.

If you read the book of Benezair "Daughter of the East" she mentioned that once a Brigadier briefed her regarding kargin in early ninties but she dumped the whole plan and that was no one else but Musharaf. Later being the army general plan he simple materialised the same plan that failed and he put the blame on Govt. USA simply punished nawaz sharif of not listening to him on atomic explosions and given a green signal to Musharaf, and he crossed all the limit to please them including selling his own countrymen, killing them in masses, throwing cheif justice out coz he was demanding to produce the missing people in court before him, but when the judicial councel restored him in July 2007 whe suspended the whole consitution and throw the whole judiciary out.

The missing persons case is very critical to Musharaf and USA since Musharaf has sold the people as taliban to fill American Jails if the whoe thread is leaked every body will be exposed. Musharaf has also admitted this in his own book.

Withdrawal and final battles

As Pakistan found itself struggling, the army had covertly planned a nuclear strike on India, the news of which alarmed U.S. President Bill Clinton, resulting in a stern warning to Nawaz Sharif.[49]

Following the Washington accord on July 4, where Sharif agreed to withdraw Pakistani troops, most of the fighting came to a gradual halt, but some Pakistani forces remained in positions on the Indian side of the LOC.

In addition, the United Jihad Council (an umbrella for all extremist groups) rejected Pakistan's plan for a climb-down, instead deciding to fight on

Mushraf...is a Great Guy...

Who wanted him out of power...desperately?

USA.

Who was USA bringing into Pakistan?

Nawaz Sharif.

Mushraf & Indian Prime Minister even had secret peace process going which dint materialize due to Mushraf's depature.

When the Kargil thing happened Nawaz Sharif was in power.

If Mushraf was to be blamed he was the one who stopped the supply of arms to the Militants.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kargil_War

"After the war, Nawaz Sharif claimed that he was unaware of the plans, and that he first learned about the situation when he received an urgent phone call from Atal Bihari Vajpayee, his counterpart in India. Sharif blamed Musharraf and "just two or three of his cronies"

Musharraf, however, asserted that Sharif had been briefed on the Kargil operation 15 days ahead of Vajpayee's journey to Lahore on February 20.

At least Musharraf would be the only dictator who gave the press enough freedom ....that the press and the court justice went on to paint him black.....

The guys who twice suspended or amended the constitution of Pakistan a dictator who took power after over throwing the policitaly elected govt cannot give a good image to Pakistan.

The guy involved in Kargil conflict without taking the govt into confidence and later used it as a excuse to get in power and later talked about friendship with the same country. I didnt get it..

Not being "inside" Pakistani Politics. My perception is that Musharraf did work to restore and augment Pakistan's image and standing in the world. His visit to India was a gesture towards reconcilliation and moving forward together, whilst also trying to address the Kashmir issue.

Both Zardari and Sharif are allegedely corrupt and only interested in power and nepotism. They should both be held accountable. Sadly, the Pakistani public is too fickle to address this.

No Arien people didnt vote for zardari people voted by the name of Benazir Bhutto but once the parliment is selecting leader of the house its upto the parliament members to cast vote of confidence and speaking about hounerable members of parliament in our countries they will be voting for the one paying them higher if narinder modi can choreograph it well he might become next pm. The term called hourse trading is used at its best in our countries.

Just for info if people of Pak knew that Zardari is going to be the next president they could have tolerated musharaft a bit longer.

and please never disgrace Mr. 110% by calling him Mr. 10%

Modi and PM.. Never frozen , it wont happen and it will be a disaster. He will not win too.

Zardari, Mr 10% , who is been jailed for 11 years, who still has court cases pedning in the UK, is the worst thing happend to Pakistan and can never trust too. I was just talkin on Musharaf.

Hope a better governance happen in pak which will straighten things for the better of the country , its neighbours and thus the world.

Zardari is another incarnation of musharaf and having a track record of not fulfilling his committments causing the current row in Pak. Do you think you can trust him? As we heard the news that some people are endorsing Narinder Modi as next PM.

So guys prepare yourself for the action thriller if it really happend.

VB - come on . India would rather trust Sardari than Mushraf. He triggered a war and killed many of his people at the siachins.

Forget it.

see from different angle, the enormous pressure from India and several controversies within Pak-political framework. At least he is gutsy to standup and protect Pak, plus mediate between the two rivals, playing as a third umpire!

Every one prefers to be in head lines, particularly ex. president.

Mush is master in media control, remember how he called a surprise media briefing during Agra summit almost without the knowledge of Indian govt.

He is trying to gain points because of friction between the two major political parties of Pakistan today.

Pardon me for my poor memory of history, but isnt this the same general who sent his troops dressed as tribals to infiltrate into Kargil all the time when a poetry-obsessed-slightly-deluded PM of India was making peace overtures by way of Bus/train diplomacy n quartets?
