HELP! Question on nanny sponsorhip in Doha

My husband and I arrived in Doha in October and were looking to hire a nanny for our then 5-month old son. We discovered via a friend that her nanny wanted to bring her sister over from the Philippines to work. She came to Doha on a tourist visa. We met her, hired her, and she has been working for us ever since, providing excellent care for our son. No need to work through an agency: Great! But here’s our problem: Since we have only been in country a limited time we cannot sponsor her ourselves (supposedly we need 6-months worth of bank statements). Our employer is not in a position to sponsor her. Our sponsor might be able to sponsor her since he has some slots that he can try to fit her under, but he’s not sure he’d be able to do it. We’ve been renewing her visa periodically and even had to send her to Dubai (on Valentine’s Day) on a “visa flight”. If we don’t have a solution by May, she has to leave the country (the end of her six months) and cannot come back for two years. She is great with our son and we’d really hate to lose her services. My question is whether anyone else has been in a similar situation, and if so, whether you can recommend some options? Is sponsoring her through an agency an option? Any feedback is appreciated!

a friend of mine had a similar situation, but he just went to the immaigration or visa department, i am not sure of the name, and he explained his situation to the boss there and they were able to find a solution that allowes him to keep the nanny. I am not sure of the details, but i think its worth it to try to explain your situation yo the authorities. Anyway, if you don't find a solution, i know a good live out nanny, she used to work for me but then i decided its better for my family to have a live in one. contact me if you need her services.
