BTW are we sure that ur driving 170kp/h or just to "SHOW OFF"??? anyway crazy drivers like you shouldn't have license to drive.you'll kill people!don't you think its unfair also when you make accidents?UNFAIR for us coz we didn't have STUPID mind like YOU!

Hossam + Pepe, pls stop cursing and verbal abusing...

pls lets keep QL as a good community...

peace be with you guys...

As jhort has mentioned, Hossam just drove that kind of speed at the wrong place/road and that's why he got penalized for speeding. He should drive at race track.

But if he continue to be like that, sooner or later, he will receive the consequences of his action and disobedience.

Hossam, i am not Muslim. Am a Christian. and i believe as i mentioned in my previous post, that "To obey is better than sacrifice" (1 Samuel 15:22)

I just got the link from googgling...

Hey, I like driving fast like any good petrol head does, but the public roads are not the place for it...(although I'd argue 120 is mayb ea bit slow for a quiet, huge road like dukhan road)

Get your ass to Losail circuit when the new season starts and take part in a track day or sprint, drive to your hearts content (although you will most probably have to buy a new car....4x4s don't exactly do corners well).

what ever you're driving... 170kmh is not impressive anyway. I've gone over 220 on a motorbike and nearly 250 in a Trans Am back in the states, however in both places it was in the middle of no where. It wasn't smart when I did it, but thank God that I'm still here to tell you. If you really want a rush then I suggest driving on a track where I took a NASCAR to 275kmh, once you go there, you will have no need to drive at the speed of 170 because that will no longer get you that rush. Try it sometime and you'll be hooked and you'll keep the speed on the track and keep the rest of us safe.

Cheers!!

in a perfect world it would be alright to drive to the limit of your judgement. However it is not perfect, if there is a problem at high speed you are dead! and probably take some unfortunate innocent life with you. I've had a wheel come off twice, had blowouts, had crazy pedestrians and crazier drivers put themselves right in my path, I survived these but would not have if I had been driving at a very high speed. There is a reason for Qatar to have one of the highest rates of road deaths in the world. It is untrained young men being allowed out in 2 ton cars without the judgement to drive these correctly.

Driving fast is nothing to be proud of. Even a child can drive fast just by pressing the accelerator. Control is the main thing. If you think you can control your vehicle at 120+ km/h speeds, then you are wasting your time here in Qatar. Go Europe and join some F1 team. They really need you.

i just tested the capabilities of 5mos old kit.

and those were the days radars are non-existent at the highways. it's out of curiosity sake only.

one time i maxed at 216 while at another its 212.

and she performed smoothly at the top speed.

Dang, some people even overtaken me at that SPEED!!!

and then its all history now.

i don't know about you guys, but based on my experience, my kit's engine need some revving up once in a while.

(preferably up to 150)

yeah maybe once or twice a month in order to maintain good form. else she will stagnate if continuously run at 80-100. i think its all about Variable Timing Engine Control technology as they tend to perform differently at different speed condition.

well, just like we humans, we simply need getting out of our Comfort Zone once in a while :)

BUT, its not all about GUTS... learn to know the limits as well.

Its not only hossam goin fast.. most of the crazy drivers goin almost with the same speed... i have reached 140-160 many times :)

why don't u just simply head to Lusail & go 200+ there? the track is designed for high speeds, the turns r challenging & fun, it's way more exciting than city roads... i hope u never have one of your tires blow up while u r on high speed (its not pretty, not even at 80)... or hit a pot hole or bump that'll make u lose control & fly off the midmac bridge... i hope u never lose a loved one because of an accident caused by someone like u, u may not care about the people around u so i won't mention anything about u running people over, but maybe when u lose someone dear to u... if u ever have kids (or already do), i sure hope they won't turn out like u & cause u sleepless nights of worry & fear over their safety.... yeah speed is thrilling, exhilarating, addictive... but there r reasons for those speed limits & by the way, i just remembered this, the tunnel right before Landmark when it was first opened was 60! now its 80... so if u find with ur extensive experience that some roads need higher speed limits, maybe u should file a complaint to the ministry

Stupidity has no limit. Still he seems to proud to flaunt his 170 KMS of speed. What? did you just cross the speed of sound or what? Its easy for anyone to push the pedal to 170 kms, try stopping safely when you come across a situation. Then the same car will fly over the bridge with no wings and landing gear to save your a s s.

When you go up the bridge at 160, how do you know that there will be nothing on the other side of the bridge - I've seen broken down cars on there, trucks travelling slowly, traffic entering from the roundabout below, and in the mornings the traffic from decoration roundabout can be backed up to the bridge.

At that speed it will be impossible to break for the unexpected.

That's the reason the speed limit on that portion of the road is 80 - because there is NO visibility.

If you *really* must go so fast, pick a road with better visibility, not a road where you can't see what's ahead due to the rise and fall of the road. Try a road in the middle of the desert somewhere, or better yet, grow up and stop driving like a teenager.

Pretty much eevry 1 in doha drives big cars with a huge V8, dont tell me that yuou guys never feel like pushing the car a bit when you have an open stretch of road in front of you, I dont mean on the corniche but like some empty parts of salwa or highways etc..

Driving Fast is fine if your actions are not going to harm others... At least thts wht i think !!

I have just been fined for speeding in the new d ring road (mesaaiemer) going towards al sadd. It's the new road that looks like a motorway, normally very empty and for which the speed limit is 80.

Not sure whether is a fix radar (I haven't seen any) or a mobile one, but be warned!

My free ticket to unpunished speedy driving is in tunnels, also my gate to death! I know I'll get caught one day when cameras are all over!

He feels so heroic stating about 170 KMS per hour speed on a 100 kms or 80 kms road. Get a life dude. You are a potential threat to people on the streets. And trust me no one got the Oomph feeling when you were so happy to drive at 170kms per hour, as this show how stupid and ignorant you are. You should be heavily fined, locked up and license canceled ! Qatar Roads are not formula 1 tracks. Say thanks to the Almighty for being alive to state your stupidity on the net.

What a PISS OFF !!

The camera on Midmac bridge is usually there only at night, I guess so you can't see it so well.

I went past at just under 100 and didn't get flashed, even though I'm pretty sure the speed limit on that stretch of road is 80.

It's UNFAIR to be ticketed for driving 170 kph in the city?????

Get real.

What's UNFAIR is that you possess a driver's license, and what's UNFAIR is that I have to drive on roads with people like you who have no regard for the safety of others.
