How did you Ring in the New Year

When there is nothing special in this country regarding New Year celebrations, you should not expect more than that.

By the way, when you gather to drink and smoke, do you expect there a church-like atmosphere? If you don't like that stuff and allow other people celebrating in their own fashion, what the hell brought you out there?

A humble advice: If you don't like Sweaty Indians...go back to your home...as this country would run without you peacefully but can't run without Indians efficiently.

PS: I am not Indian, I don't drink and I don't smoke.

I stayed home with my sexy girlfriends

First, we went to the Qube, and saw about 100 Indian men trying to get in, all pushing and shoving and generally being assholes. I didn't see ANY women in the line, so, thanks to them ruining the Qube, we walked over to the new Ramada building, to the Filipino party, paid 120 QR each, and were seated at a table with some other people, which wasn't so bad. The music was SO LOUD we couldn't tell the waitress what we wanted to drink, and she couldn't hear us anyway. We pointed to the menu, and were charged 28 QR for a small glass of the possibly the worst red wine I have ever tasted (threw it away) and 42 QR for a glass of beer, which was okay.

Total for entry and 2 drinks, QR 300. Room was so full of smoke and of course, no ventilation system, that my eyes were streaming tears and all my clothes absolutely reek of cigartettes. The drunk Filipino a** sitting at the next table passed out, fell off his chair, and was lying at my feet for much of the night.

Strangely, they kicked everyone out at 2 am. I thought they would stay open until 4 am, especially for that kind of money. Later, I ran into some friends who had actually been to Qube and they said it was full of sweaty Indians, so they left and came to the Filipino party.

I should have driven us all to Sealine for the Techno Party.

It was a simple dinner with my housemates...a new year kiss from someone (very special)amidst the loud music/singing.

Kinda romantic...maybe this year would be better for me, I hope (fingers crossed)

cooking then dining with my best friends last night. Singing and blowing some of those party poppers everywhere all around the house ... Had a lot of fun and it was the best ever so far ... nothing like spending this night with good company and everything else come later ...

me i was at a party in my compound met many lovely ppl, good food, good company and we ushered in the new yr singing and dancing away but since all had to work today (except me) we left by half past midnight....it was fun tho i do miss DH....:O(

I dined at a restaurant with my family after watching a movie in theatre. Not bad if I say so myself. Happy New Year.
