Overall I'd give it 3/5. The amount of dross in the forums is pulling down the average. Dunno how many active MODs there are and it is a thankless job but it has to be done. Modding seems to be conspicuous by it's absence.

How about the word TIME PASS to be used for QL?? :))

QL is an informative site for those who really seek information out here..Rest of the time, QL is being used as a biggest time pass to avoid boredom..

It does serve a purpose and the only reason it is very known is because there is no other source "yet"

I personally think The layout along with the functionality is pure garbage. even a high school project should be better in that sense. I mean, you got to this point in traffic hit rate. You are obviously making money from banners and marketing. Does it hurt to pay some talented designer 20,000 riyals to make this website represent the century we are in?

Also, in terms of contents, 95 % of people here are clowns who have nothing smart to say. This gives a bad image to Qatar because when foreigners ask a question and get others throwing idiotic and unfunny comments, the person starts wondering if everyone in this country is that retarded.

Instead of monitoring words like as* and sh*t, try to delete comments that do not belong to the topic or at least the questions asked. It is sad how many people have nothing else to say or do but to sit down and project their stupidity while they are getting paid at their jobs.

Questions should have answers to the questions and best answers based on how valid these answers are to the public. It is just my opinion and I could be wrong in everything i said.

every now and then ,QL still rocks as far as entertainment, information and socializing goes.Al Hamdullilah, I found my current residence via QL, met 90% of my friends in Qatar thanks to QL, spend a lot of my free time on QL..the list goes on. So my rating is 4/5.

Keep up the good work QL and here's wishing ya all the best from the bottom of my heart.

A good place to seek info , or to help others .. and gives you a vision over all the aspect of the society we are living in .

For the classifield, this may be useful to people who use it but I haven't till now.

But I have come to realise QL has degenerated into a cesspool of hatred and ugliness. AND nothing to say of the trolls and posters who clearly have nothing else to do but sit here all day and waste their bosses time and money by being paid to do a job that they clearly are not doing.

Some posters here are nothing but nasty and vindictive and want everyone to agree with their ideologies that most of the time is racist or derogetory to others.

Qatari really needs to get his (a s s) back into gear and start taking note of how disgraceful this site has become.

This rant is not about content, but tech quality.

I think the layout of the website is archaic. There are a TON of web forum hosting services available that are much easier to navigate. Look at the posting area, it takes up less than 50% of the screen space? The huge borders on the left and right are a massive waste of space. The formatting is garbage and looks like something out of the late 90s.

You can pretty much do a search for any web forum and find a better example.

Dont get me wrong, I appreciate the effort made by those who run this site but it is LONG overdue for a major overhaul.
