How to get Rent / Tenancy Agreement attested from Baladiya
By irfanali80 •
Hi QL users,
I want to know what is the way of getting rental agreement attested from Baladiya for applying visa of my family.
I came to know that immigration deptt is not accepting the application unless the rental agreement is attested from Baladiya.
This is for the both cases for visit visa and RP visa. Where is the baladiya office location ? what are their requirement for attestation ? what are the timings of the office? any kind of help is appreciated.
Thnx.

Last week I visited gharafa to apply visit visa for my wife and and kid. They returned my application and told rental contract with baladiya stamp is compulsary. All depends on your luck...
Some of my colleagues were told by our PRO to go to Gharafa as they are likely to get the visit visa without the contract authentication. The few who tried confirmed to me that indeed the contract wasn't request from them. It is worth a try anyway.
Irfanali80 - I was told by my friend who brought his father in law recently. The payment is to the Baladiya office (no broker) as attestation fee. I was told that it is linked with 1or 3% of Yearly Rent. Mr. Yacine - r u sure that Gharafa Immigration do not need for Visit visa application? Do you know - which counter we need to go?
@heydoha: To whom they are paying this 3000Qr for attestation ?
@yachine.h: sometimes they do accept application for visit visa but what about if someone wants to apply for RP. this we do really need rent agreement attested.
Ok, for the baladiya office i got the location. it is inside Al-fardan plaza at Al-Sadd.
If you go from Ramada signal towards Hamad hospital just pass the 1st signal (toys r us) and then from the next signal take Left and immediate right u ll find Al Fardan plaza. this is new baladiya office.
Go to Gharafa Immigration they will not ask for it.
I do not know about the Baladiya office location but I heard that the attestation fees are quite high. Its about 1or3%(not sure) of the Yearly rent (monthly rent X 12) of your house. I heard people end up paying Qr3000 for the attestation of the rental agreement for getting a visit visa.
