My weekend was a little boring...didn't do much outdoors, but managed to go for a walk yesterday evening in The corniche...Now, that was a sweaty experience!

Also got a new laptop, which I'm still trying to set up.

Did lots of shoppig and things around the house...

Very boring, I know.

BY THE WAY< HAPPY BIRHTDAY CAT!!!!

hope ur idea to organize a party in d middle of the dessert pushes through..that's kinda kewl, like dune bashing in the daylight then partying at nighttime!heard the desert sky is quite a sight at night. goodluck!

Hya,

Well ... i definitively didn't find anything like an after party in london or madrid, where you go home, have a shower, and have lunch ... !

But yet 3 am something is feasible apparently ...

Paloma : Thrusdays 3 am, Fridays 2 am

Admirals : we just tried it once (the new door keeper - black guy, I dunno his name- is really friendly, I think) but we left after 2 and it was not closed

Pearl : yesterday evening we left at 3 something ... I heard that in "good nights" it does not accept clients anymore but it goes on partying inside ... no idea whether it's true, since my understanding is that it might also be illegal ... (btw this place is great fun !!!!! loved the sound there / the girls looked very good / Roxana is really nice / and it's so cool to have a night club where the barmen actually know how to do good cocktails !!! only though some of the mixes of the Dj are not as clean as you can expect it to be)

But I crossed checked all possible sources and there seems to be absolutely no commercial party after 3. So ... the idea is to have a private party - but without having neighboors. Also it's possible to rent the upper floor of the Pearl (well Roxana said so yesterday) but not sure it's possible to make the party last longer in this case

Next WE most probably in Dubai, and probably Peppermint. I liked Trilogy last time I was there but still quite few girls (and some of them are obviously there for commercial reasons). I'd like to try this place called IBO (not sure it spells like this) ... anyone knows it ?

Cheers,

Christophe

I always take the plane. No paperwork at all, but i have a british passport and visa is given on arrival (includes 32 other nationalities). If you are not one of the exempted nationalities its different. In theory, if you are resident in Qatar you should get a visit visa on arrival in the UAE but this doesnt strictly apply. Depends on your nationality, job title and theres a difference between entering through dubai and abu dhabi.

Maybe some members who have experienced this process can be more helpful.

hi! you said you usually go to the UAE for your weekends, and I was wondering if there are a lot of paperworks involved in getting a visit visa there? or is that not going to be a problem if you have a residnet visa? how do you get there? do you drive? or take the plane? sorry for the bother.

I have to note that "embarrassing" birthday party wasn't embarrassing. DG just tried her best to embarrass ME on my party by getting a bunch of waiters to put a huge sombrero hat on my head and sing Happy Birthday. I wasn't embarrassed.

Oh and this weekend I went to a really boring party, followed by Rugby Club, followed by a day at the beach with Super7, who is actually quite charming in real life and is followed around by a haram of pretty girls, followed by Cat's embarrasing b-day party and a really crappy night out trying to find a decent bar.

Typical weekend.
