Humble request - Obey Traffic rules

georgejose
By georgejose

Just a Humble request to all of you.... Please obey Traffic rules... Its not difficult. I am not a great driver. But I see that people who have been driving for years still dont care of giving signals when changing lanes or in the roundabout. Driving is like playing a video game. Just follow the rules or else its GAME OVER.

When I said like a video game, so tat its understood by ppl who drive too fast.... There are certain rules in games.... and when some1 follows the rules of our Qatar roads, its good for all.... and for heaven's sake.... plz use the signals while changing lanes and roundabouts... it really helps the vehicle behind. Vroooom Vrooooom

It has a lot to do with the video games. The more you play them, The more u see car racing movies, The more u feel the urge to drive fast.

I felt myself like Dom Torretto on the roads after watching Fast Five

You mean the cutout "shurta"...say it as it is! lol Actually it is a right giggle.

"Driving is like playing a video game" Subhanallah that's exactly what it seems to be like when you witness some maniacs' antics on the road. Like you wonder if they view running down a few people as a means of scoring higher points..Sort of like "fatality" Audubillah!

imagine you are in war.. and you are driving a tank.. now all you have to do is to drive fast, and care so that you dont hit your tank :)

Oh...and PLEASE don't drive like it's a video game??!?!! That ridiculous. Crash in a video game...game over...crash in real life....injury or death. Bad comparison from someone who evidently spends too much time on their own....

Lesson Three - Use your mirrors! That's what they're there for...change lane, use your mirror...slow down, use your mirror...sure they don't teach it here, but very simple saying 'MIRROR, SIGNAL, MANEUVER' This alone would make a massive difference. Try it!

By DohaBrit2011• 19 Jun 2011 20:58

Lesson Two - If you've got kids in the car....put a seat belt on them!!! You've gone to the effort of bringing them in to the world, supporting them and watching them grow.....only to let them dance around your car!! Strap them up and save their lives...one accident and you lose your child through the windscreen....this should be an offence with a minimum 5000QR fine attached to make people think twice.

Lesson One - Roundabouts - Choose a lane relevant to where you're going. Stay in that lane! The far right is for going right (NOT LEFT), the middle is for straight on, and the left is for left or U-Turns. There are exceptions, but stick with the basics to start with! The funny white lines around the roundabout are there for a reason! Oh...and use your signals...they're not just there for decoration.

The Qatari rules state you must drive like a mongrel chasing its tail. Wouldn’t want to argue would that, would you?

rude and careless drivers are everywhere in Doha, Hope they will wake one of this days and learn how to value others safety.

Simple use of signals can save your life and others life, wish they will understand and recognize it.

"drive always at 75KM/H"

We have seen so many people who park their cars in roundabouts. It is an unnecessary obstruction and affects the traffic. These people should be fined heavily!

By ingeniero• 19 Jun 2011 15:11
