Yes you are right in one point. God is one. But people are not worshiping the True One God.

For Example: Christians are worshiping Jesus.

We have one question. The people who lived before Jesus worshiped whom? Jesus himself prayed to God [creator of this worlds]

So converting means it reverting to the right beliefs.

Muslims will worship the True God. In Arabic the GOD is called "Allah".

Allah send the Last Messenger Muhammad [peace be upon him] to convey his message to whole mankind. So you have to belive him as Last Messenger of God.

After that you have to learn the teachings of Quran and Prphet Muhammad. So you can learn your duties in respect of following:

1. Duties to God like compulsary Make Salah [prayer] five times. Worship him alone, none else.

2. Your duties to your parents - be kind to them, respect them, help them. Dont tease them.

3. your duties to whole mankind: Respect others, give charity and alms to poors.

4. You should belive in Life after death. The one who is doing good deeds he will go to Heaven. If do bad things will go to Hell.

Wish you all the best to learn more Islamic teachings and spread the message of Islam [Peace] to every body.

Good for you, Insha Allah. As this is not the forum for Religious discussions, I don't think anyone can give you much info here. But hopefully people will see this post and pm you some advises. Just bare in mind that though that Islam today has more divisions and misguided folks than ever before so if anyone is to give you any advice and/or rulings, make sure they quote to you the proof from the Quran or authentic narrations and then double(and maybe even more) check them through before accepting and practicing it.Barakhallahu feek!
