if I couldn't move to the middle lane as quickly as they want me to do. I think of my safety first before anything else.

Then they will drive along side to see who's the driver...and I look back at them. I used to think that Qatari government gave me a driver's license so I could drive and use the roads. I used to think that as a driver, I have EQUAL RIGHTS to use the road like them. But come to think of it, it's their country. They speak Arabic, I don't. If there would be any accident, I wouldn't be able to defend myself as the police officers speak arabic, and I don't.

So, I just think...THESE DRIVERS are in a hurry to go home or to their destination coz they badly need to use the toilet...lol

I am from Dull Canada (As dull Siddh would say). there are rules of the road and for the most part, people use the road etiquette. I was shocked when I first saw how drivers act here.

Personally, you wouldn't last 5 minutes (In Canada) on the road with the behavior that a lot of people display here. And it's not just the LC's either.

What does disturb me is the piss poor driving behavior when these clowns have kids in the car, absolutely sad for some fuckwit to act like a complete moron while the innocent are seated next to him.

Just the other day I had some clown LC take his frustration out on me, WHY?, haven't a clue, maybe because I'm white and quite handsome. LOL

This moron decided to take his big honkin' cruiser and cut in front of me, without a signal light I must add. When I beeped mt horn, he started to do 4 wheel lock-ups and dart between lanes.

Again a complete fuckwit. I had the blessed opportunity to pull up along side of him at a circle, he unleashed a flurry of FU's. I looked at him and said "Hey asshole, you have kids in the car", Just like that he snapped out of his behavior and drove like a human being.

Now don't get me wrong, I am the last guy you want to play chicken with because I have no fear, but you wanna play with me drop off the wife and kids and what say we head out into the desert and sort out our differences.

Oh yea, I also video taped his performance just in case he would report me to the cops. I'm smarter than you!!!

Also why do they waste paint in the traffic circles???

The problem is that most drivers got their drivers license with a loaf of bread and milk at the carrefour.

I actually noticed in Sri Lanka, Philippines, India and such that maybe the problem here is not the ones that KNOW and adhere to the rules. In Western Europe we drive almost impeccable and adhere to all guidelines, at least most of us. To get a drivers license is a huge pain in the ass and costs a fortune, no less than QR 10.000, plus it takes minimum half a year. Not to mention the theory-exams which are mighty difficult as half of the questions are nasty trick-question, not one "which sign is this", and if you have 6 out of 50 wrong... FAIL.

Now, in Asian countries I noticed that organized chaos seems to work the best. Everybody drives so chaotic that everybody is extremely sharp.

So here, as western Europeans, because of sticking to the rules and taking roundabouts properly .... we confuse Chaos which leads to accidents.

How is that for a theory?

I use idiot drivers for my car maintenance.

I make sure I got rammed by one after my car had been scratched and needed new paint.

Here is the strategy

- Drive 30 - 50 (low impact)

- Preferably near roundabout

- Wait until you have an idiot on your bumper

- Hit the breaks

- Have a camera to take pics straight away.

if there is no car in your right then why u don't move? i used to be moving to the right when there is no car on the right side..

the left side is for the fast move so why u r doing stupid thing?

I think it is a fair point if the middle lane is clogged up and you, in the fast lane, are actually moving faster than them.

I don't see the need to slow down and move over when some Arab or other person is being impatient behind you.

But if the middle lane is clear, then you are actually in the wrong and as such are no better than the person behind you flashing their lights.

I use to give space for others to pass when they are above my speed + i have no car on my right (which is in this case middle track) and when am sure that am not either causing or getting trouble while steering to middle.Thats all simple ,peaceful , let others to understand the unique way of safe driving , no need to block any one unnecessary unless someone got outlaw thats all.

These guys might not always be Qataris..lets not blame them completely..
