Dear all,

My life is soo messed up right now, and I need whatever help that can be offered to me. I have no idea how you guys are gonna help but I really do need any contribution from your side.

Here is my story:
Since three months I applied for some jobs online and got accepted for a job in Qatar in a company, the contract was about a basic salary of 6000 QAR and a percentage of the whole performance of the company. The mistake of my life was that I didnt know exactly how much the company is making a month or a year. I was shocked after signing the contract that the company is already loosing and my percentage cant be considered at all.

I didnt know what to do after being here in Qatar and already got a lot of responsibilities towards my family since am the main supporter. Not being able to switch jobs or even get out of here, I did another mistake which is taking a loan from the company; the loan is about 50000 QAR. The company's business isnt going well and from my point of view I can never make it here. I just cant go on anymore. So, the company now is asking me to pay the whole amount of the loan and only then they will give me my passport, release and exit permition.

If I have this amount of money, I wouldnt have taken the loan in the first place. I REALLY REALLY WANT TO GET OUT OF HERE...

Moreover that, after not being able to lift up this company, the company said that I cant continue here anymore and they wont be paying me my monthly salary starting from this month... How am I supposed to pay for the place am living in? what shall I do about my family? how can I tell them that I won't be able to send them what they need to make it through? what shall I do about the bills? Will I be in the streeet soon??? I have already sold some of my personal stuff, what else do I have to sell!!!

I really dont know what to do and I just cant tell my family or anyone about this... non the less, I dont know anybody in Qatar.

Is there anyway to take a loan and pay this company and then pay back the loan as monthly installments? Yeah, right !!! and how the hell am I supposed to get such a loan while am considering leaving the country for good not to mention that I dont have a guarantor!!

IF ANYONE OF YOU GUYS, ANYONE, HAS ANY OPINION, CONTRIBUITON, IDEA, SOLTUION OR WHATEVER TO GET OUT OF THIS PROBLEM PLEASE LET ME KNOW ABOUT IT.

I also need urgent help. I sincerely hope that you will help me.

The problem you see is that I like a girl who family happens to be very rich. But her ugly obnoxious father doesnt like me as I am a slacker. The girl also likes me. She thinks I am Kool. We both want to get married but her father will only allow me to marry her if I give a "Mehr" of Q.R. 500,000. Five Hundred Thousand. If you lend me Q.R. 500,000 I will return it to you very soon. After I get married to the sole heir of the family business, I will slowly take over the business as the father would be getting sick with each passing day. (I know how to do that)

And when the old man finally dies I will return tyour money with interest.

And we will all be a happy QL family. If you are interested in doing business with me, let me know and I will pass you my bank details.

Regards

KC

We should not blindly trust such thread ! there are several cunny people around here trying to rob money out of one's pocket by playing their tatics and to trap people.

I offered him my help thru PM and asked him to contact me on my cell no so that we can discuss further but till date he did not bother to call or come back here.

There is something fishy.

I never help anyone unless i am sure about his/her position in reality. I always prefer to meet in person and discuss the matter to see the extend of help required !!!

Dear, dont you worry about me crying and I said I want to get out of here ...

they are paying me 6000 QAR which is not enough for eating, I used to make more than that back at my country. I tried to work it out in this company but couldnt and sometimes you just have to know when to decide to end a "relation" up and my "relations" whith this company has to be ended.

IT IS LIMITING MEEEEE

So you still have a job, the problem I see here is that you probably did not estimate that the market would be tough but all beginnings as slow until you get a foot in the market and perhaps you need help with strategy.

the thing is, this company gave me the money as a special treatment. they were sure that I am able to develop the company and generate money which is a thing I couldnt do. after this only, they gave me two choices, either continue in the company and start generating money which I have been and still trying but seems like going in cercles, looooping and looopin; or I may leave but I have to pay them the whole amount of the loan so they can give me the release.

I see your point but even then you can't support them on QR 6000 you can hardly support yourself on that.

How come this company is so irresponsible? Usually the companies avoid giving the loan to one who is on the probation period (as I understand you didn’t pass yours one yet). It doesn’t make sense: first to grant you a loan, and then, few days later to announce that they are not going to pay you a salary… Before they give you this kind of money they have to decide either they want to keep you or not..am I right?

I wish its this easy..

Normaly, when problems occur in my family, I am the one whom everyone goes to for help. on a financial level, I am the supporter for the family; they dont have money. My parents are divorced and havnt seen my father for like mmm 14 years or something like that so I had to takeover the responisibility.....

HOW THE HELL DID I GET MYSELF INTO THISSSSS **** SITUATION!!!

Dude you need to try and talk to them and try to sort the problem. Since you owe money to the company, they will sure allow you to look for job and pay their money.

First you need to search for job and once you hve something in Hand then you can sit and talk to them and explain that you have job in hand and you can pay the amount they lend you if they give you release. At least then your case will be strong and you will be able to approach human rights and they will listen to you.

Think positive and do some action, rather then cross questioning peoples suggestions.

or your relatives in your country.. I know, I hate also to ask, i'd rather go and get ANY job to get out of such situation.. but since you want only "decent job in a decent company with a decent salary", and there is no way to get one without NOC letter, so the only way is to disclose your situation to your family and ask for help. Later, when you come back to your country and find "decent job in a decent company with a decent salary", you will return them their money.

1) Ok the money is gone this is a fact.

2) Negotiate for the NOC otherwise make a complaint to the Labour Dept.

3) Check all possibiities to find an equal job or similar job.

4) There is a possibility that (provided you can get) the new sponsor can negotiate for you. Your company is not dumb so they know you don't have money and the only way to pay them back is if you work. Some things come when you least expect them.

5) Your family will recognise the fact as soon as you can't send them money.

6) I do not think you will go to jail if you can't pay the loan back after they terminated your employment.

My personal advice to you - is never take a loan which is far beyond your means again and you may have difficulty to pat it back.

So go and search for a job and do not explain your situation until you are sure you will get the job.

can you say how much the amount is which you have to pay back or is it to indiscret to ask?i think because you are not for a long time that company it cant be that much.correct me if i am wrong.

Enter into an agreement with them (probably with an attorney or Human rights) that you will continue to pay your loan for a certain amount of time. In exchange they have to issue a release letter so you can look for another job. Your passport will stay with them or deposited in the court until you finished your debt. Make sure that you keep track of your payments and there should somewhat a piece of paper as evidence.

you shouldn't give up! stand up and face it like a sparta.

just my 2 cents.

Spartans! Ready your breakfast and eat hearty... For tonight, we dine in hell!

Getting different sposor takes time which is I lack at most.

They will not give me release unless I pay them the whole amount and getting a loan from another company which am I know nothing about and still new and to top it up am not actually employed in the supposed to be "Loan Company" sooo I cant see how they are gonna give me a loan and am not yet employed with them. even employees are having troubles getting loans from their companies!!

I already took the one month notice salary! I took in on the first of this month.

As Ghina said, getting different sponsor is the best solution.

Discuss with your present company to allow you look for job in some other companies. And once you have better job and if your new company sponsor you than you can take loan from bank or from the company and pay your old sponsor.

You will need to give them something in writting or PDC cheques for the loan you have taken from them.

All this can do done only if you have some good relation with your present company. And as you mentioned they no longer need your service so they have to pay you 1 month notice salary as well.

1) I already paid the whole amount to my family, I paid for some bills, some rental fees, hospital overdue payments.... nothing is left.

2)its not possible to recover any of it.

3)Yes, I want to leave Doha unless I find a decent job in a decent company with a decent salary.

4)I cant go there and file a complaint, I will have to pay the whole amount of the loan, I dont want to end up in jail.

5)Yes, there is a lot of lebanese in here but I dont know anyone, and not knowing anyone means noone is gonna help becoz I dont KNOW them.

6)How can I tell my family, its just hard for me to tell them that I am not able to support you anymore!!

7)I have started asking for help.

8) I am working as a Technical and Sales Consultant related to IT field.

He is in a desperat situation - you may forge a passport but don't advise others to do it.

You have to look at this rationally and think what your first steps are.

1) Where is the money you took on loan?

2) If possible try to recover some of it this will help you.

3) Do you really want to leave Doha if not look for another position.

4) Try to get an NOC from the company if not you shuold go to the labour department and file a complaint.

5) I read you nationality on your profile and there are many here so try and get help from friend.

6) If you are in a bad position do tell your family you can't go this road alone.

7) You have to start with whatever you can today.

8) You did not say what it is you are working at and perhaps another company will be willing to help you.
