I have just got home from Carrefour where I have shoppped weekly for the last 2 or so years since it opened. I just want to say THANKS to the guy (if you shop there you know who I mean) who weighs the fruit and veg in Villagio. Not only does he manage the nightmare queue system calmly and fairly but he knows the code of every single thing in his head AND if you ask him a question about the prices or items he always knows. He also works at the speed of light. I truly believe that the best thing about this country is that you get to know the faces and characters of people you see because it is such a small place and I think he is one of the iconic people in Qatar whom we all know. Do you agree?
How about u guys print this post and all the commentaries which goes with it, and give it to him one day, i think he will be more than happy to find out what people think of the way he works....
yup, the guy at carrefour-villagio is fast and is very aware on who is first in the queu.:-) i just went there last night and this guy very promptly weigh in my veggies eventhough the man who arrived late unceremoniously put his veggies atop the weighing counter:-) serve the man right!

Nice to see a post about a POSITIVE customer service experience, they are so few and far between.
but in my case it's the lady in FFC and a guy at an Al-Meera close to my place.
I am a married middle aged woman, I simply appreciate dedication and good service and the fact that he has made his job into an art. Any sensible person would get that.

It so good and a worderful act tat u hv appreciated someone for his work......i think u shd write to Carrefour so tat he be recognized by his employer. The best way to motivate any one is to pat their back.......well i dont shop at Carrefour i am happy shopping at al safeer.....i've always got sincere service from the representatives there.......

I don't know the guy, but I believe such workers deserve our respect and appreciation.
It's very hard to work under pressure dealing with many faces, nationalities and moods.

I know the guy you mean, always quick and seems to know who has been qeueing in which order. Little fella now seems to be sporting a pair of glasses.
I think I really appreciate good customer service here so much as its such a rare commodity. When you get it it should be recognised. Nice post JasmineJasmine
