Inglourious Basterds Fabulous Movie Out Now

``````````````Inglorious Basterds```````````````````
This isn't a review as im exhausted and off to bed.
The purpose of this thread is to inform those of you whose interest is piqued, to not hesitate a minute further and catch the movie before it's off the cinemas in Qatar.
Brad Pit outdid himself. If ever anyone was a victim of his good looks, then it surely must be Brad, because I assume being classed as a 'celebrity hottie' appears to have blinded people of his uncanny talent as a seasoned actor. An Oscar is in order!
it's going to take me a few days coming off copying his characters Tennessee drawl. Good Nite Y'all
The official website
P.s. This Movie is actually better than it's trailer.
Brit i found that if you scream STFU really loud thie first time then they stop talking on the phone for the rest of the movie.
Dunno why, it just works really well.
hmmm i might write a book of "Subtle Remedies for the Unusual Situations"
Patent Pending btw
Oops sorry for the assumption. The most expensive Bollywood movie ever made, Blue is getting released this weekend. Will watch that but only for Kylie Minogue who makes a small appearance in there.
Hahaha, why not? You assume I dont watch them? Well I used to as a kid, when I lived in Delhi ;) My weekend will be spent surrounded by friends/reading The Charming Man/getting pampered - HELLO?! haha-and trying to get a decent nights sleep in. Enjoy yours!
It is weekend now so will be watching some masala Bollywood movies which I won't be recommending to you at all :)
Hmm maybe you are right. Anyway I don't like to watch movies which are based on the books I have already read. Books leave so much to the imagination of the reader, when I go and watch the movie and it's not as per my imagination, I get disappointed. So I avoid them as a rule now.
awww, yeah. True. But not even the time traveller could change the events of the past so maybe its a good thing we cant ;)
Yes it is. But it makes me want to go back in time and I can't :(
:) why not? I thought it was such an interesting concept. Isnt that the whole essence of the book?
I read the book, never saw the movie based on it. Nice romantic story but the concept of time travelling didn't go down too well with me.
sandeepkadian, you've got good taste in movies. I watched The Time Travellers Wife the other day. Bit confusing, I dont think the director was able to capture the authors creativity. But I havent read the book yet, just my personal thoughts.
Guys, it's not as chopped up as you think! I hardly noticed if there were any deleted scenes.
Edifis, Stop downloading!!!! lol you have to watch it on the big screen, seriously it would kill the movie seeing it on a dinky pc screen.
Brit, not a single phone rang in the cinema except mine! And I solemnly swear to turn it off again. Afternoons are better if you can make it:)
Labda, I never liked tarrantino myself either , he always came across as a he-child that for some odd reason had access to movie making equipment. BUT I have to hand it to him, he really outdid himself this time too.
I really wish I could find one thing to criticize in this movie and I am very picky with the way sripts are commercialized and substance free lately. But this movie was what a movie is all about.
You all meet up and watch the movie together before its off the cinemas here.
abuyunus, I hear you but could we say it's anti-Nazi rather than anti German? But yes they didn't distinguish between them in the movie and on the opposite spectrum they made the Americans look GREAT, how would you say? Uber-heros ;)
An observation: While watching the movie my heart wept for the persecuted Jews, often finding myself enraged at how they were being hunted and murdered like animals, even got me into a 'serves you right' attitude when the Nazis got scalped! Then I would think, the IRONY, after all of what the Jews have been through they simoly treat the Palestinians even worse than what they've have experienced. AND they're still milking their misfortune, well what can we say when the Movie makers are controlled by the jews.
So don't worry propaganda can only go so far.
Who knows, now that Qatar is making movies maybe one day they will put the spotlight on the Palestinian plight and draw much needed attention to their continuing misfortune.
Not that big a fan of him actually but there was a time when I used to read a lotttt. Actually the librarian of the central state library back home used to call me sometimes to ask where a particular book is in the library. I knew the place better than her...
I have read 100 % of Grisham's books till date.
The innocent man is actually a true story of a guy named Ron Williamson. Read it again and again for a month or so...
Not read the Innocent Man.
Have you read A Painted House (Grisham) - really great read, for once nothing to do with the law.
Now, I don't know about y'all, but I sure as hell didn't come down from the goddamn Smoky Mountains, cross seven thousand miles of water, fight my way on to a Qatar Airways jet and jump out the air-o-plane to watch this film in the City Centre with people talking on their phones around me.
I have read Last chance saloon and Angels from her.
Have you read The innocent man by John Grisham. I was stunned after reading that..
I am downloading the movie. Already 68% done. It will finish in another 18 minutes. This torrent I got from Piratebay is amazingly fast. It's giving me speeds of about 235kBps!
Have read a couple of books from Marian Keyes actually. I used to be an avid reader but can't find a good enough library in Qatar. Can't buy a book everytime as I go through a 500 page book in 1 day and can't afford to buy a book everyday here :(
Looking forward to this film but like others I will not watch in Qatar. The films get ripped to bits here by the censors as obviously they know what is best for us...
sandeepkadian, I think you'll enjoy this one, not that much romance but yeah try it and let me know what you think. Hmmm lemme see romantic comedies? I lean more towards thrillers (not horrors) so the only other really good one Iv watched recently is Marley & Me. Sorry not big on movies.
If you're a reader, a great romantic/comedy author is Marian Keyes! Great stuff!
I loved it! They casted the Nazi 'Jew hunter' perfectly. Is he unknown? I doubt anyone could have pulled off the role as well as he did with his twisted entertaining personality. Again Pitt should get an Oscar. Kudos to the scrip writers
