why moderator sinned?

we make this forum, all of us together.

I gave my understanding of why the second problem of PM is taking place.

but for moderator to block out all answers not pertaining to the topic would be a bit harsh wouldnt it?i dont know if that can be done. is that what you are asking?

qatari, help me out, i went on and on about something else here.hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm.

...many users are complaining about?

The off topic comments...scaring genuine queries away or underground.

IF people want to chat..there are much easier and better ways to do it.

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

i believe in Sl's innocence ;-P

siined, its not that easy. can you protect the sentiments of every soft person who cant take dark humour.i will appreciate it if you could.

i would also say the same that this forum is us. i will always try to help but i just cant avoid some of the comments that get posted anyways. newbies who arent used to forums can be quite sensitive about this. the problem is that very few understand this.each one of us have a different sense of humour.

how many of us really bother to answer a genuine query, in positive or negative. sometimes its neither but a rubbish joke instead, while majority of us will be engaged in a verbal battle on some nonsense subject in another thread. ofcourse this will dissasspoint people asking questions.

another thing we dont really grasp is that people expect a reply when they post (genuine queries) and when no one takes the time to reply in a few decent words, that can be quite a dampener and they will go to another site asking questions.

if the problem right now is members asking queries through PM, we must encourage them to post it as threads so we can help them with others. there has to be a morale booster.its not easy.

very true sinned, but some of are bold enough to ask questions, some are just not and if they get wise crack answers that some of our beloved members are experts at, it will just shy them away.

its wierd, although you would be using a nickname, any response one gets is always taken personally.

An Internet forum is a web application for holding discussions and posting user generated content.

whatever reason. I know some are at first because there have been some really "interesting" comments that might turn some away from posting due to not wanting to be rejected or humilated.

sinned, i agree with what you have stated, but if a shy individual is embarrased to post a topic in a forum and feels a particular member can help, then is it wrong? i am asking about genuine queries, which they are seeking information about.
