jeep servicing in doha

Hello All

I have a Jeep and when the car went for its first service and I asked the garage to look at a noise in the engine I could not beleive it when they said three - four weeks. As time went by sure enough the car was repaired but only after the four weeks were up. The time before  this the car was in the garage for two weeks for a service.

After these two experiences with the authorised dealer for Jeep and loosing the car for more than 4 weeks does anyone know of any other service centres that will service Jeeps?

I do quite a lot of travelling in Qatar and can not loose my car for all this time again

Thank you, Sam, for posting contact information. I am looking for Jeep service. Cannot find a phone number, nor an address I can find. Everyone waves their hands and says, "somewhere over there" from 3 years ago.

Can any business in Doha be bothered to post hours, a phone number, a web address to contact? It seems they are just happy enough to earn money from people who accidentally find their location. Ha, ha!

I wish my business was simply waiting in an air-conditioned office until people showed up to hand me money. Should I open a currency exchange? Ha!

Ford- They do come to your house & do the oil change & filter. They have a specialized van for this service Provided that your engine is only due for an oil & filter change(no other repairs)

The service center for American cars (Jeeps included) which was earlier near Mall r/a, has now been shifted to Barwa Village, off airport r/a on way to Wakra. After entering Barwa Village, take right turn then go straight till end and take left. The shop is at the end of the road.

ok next tym I have a problem , I'll contact u ;),, lol

u must have had a lot of experiences with cars.

infact that's how much help you get saving both money and time, if technically aware and educated about the basics of automobiles.

appreciated.

be careful of the garage ppl in Qatar , 90% of them are not qualified atall,, they just spoil other cars as beginners and use the expermintal skills in other cars just to work it out,, I've had a hell of a time when I started driving my first car in 2003.,, so six years experience with these probs in Doha .

Whenever I feel I don't want to get my fingers dirty I take my car to any garage and tell the guy what and how to do it, and I stay there until he's done the job. I had a leaking rear main oil seal. The garage said: "Major problem, very expensive, we have to take engine out." I said: "NO, here is the seal and the oil pan gasket. Now drain the oil, then take off the oil pan. Remove the lower cap of the crankshaft journal, pry out the upper half of the oil seal with a small screwdriver, remove the other half of the seal from the lower cap. Insert the upper seal half and carefully pry it to seat with a small screwdriver, fit the lower seal half into the bearing cap. Reinstall the cap, tighten to specs. Clean the oilpan gasket surface. Attach gasket and oilpan. Refill engine oil. Price: 150 Riyals for the labor, 60 Riyals for the seal, 40 Riyals for the gasket. Time: half an hour.

AC DELCO will not do major engine repairs. I rather pay for services in their proper dealership, instead of risking it with the shady mechanics of Doha.Take my advice from my own experience with them.
