Can someone pls tell me, how long passed till u got ur respond from QP (after sending CV)?

This is, of course, the question for those who work there or who are in process.

if you go to the QP website you can find lot of vacancies. Also Qatarisation is in full swing.these days it's easy to get in as technician, as most higher posts are taken by qatari and westerners.but agencies like ggheewala does conduct interviews

lol @ people randomly creating the criteria required for one to be hired by qp. I'll play along, you also have to be able to say the alphabet backwards in english but with an arabic accent in under 10 seconds, if you are unable to do this then forget about working for qp.

Especially you should be one of the European (or)America Countries. Because QP has good image on these kinds of nationalities.

For Asia, you should be Indian and most of Indian are working there. For Recruitment also, respective inside authorized indian persons can do and co-ordinate with HR to get the job for Indian Nationality New Comers.

In future, Indian will occupy QP in recruitment case.

Hi. I am a Professor in Management with 22 years experience teaching MBA students; research and consulting in India and Africa. Planning to join my husband who is working in Doha. Would there be any opportunities for Management Faculty in Doha? What is the status of Management Education there?

Ok, I have to be honest, there is an Egyptian friend of mine who did the same as Gypsy gal is mentioning and he got hired in QP...however I guess that he was just lucky....once again it is all about geography and connections

Apply through the website www.qp.com.qa , look under current vacancies. If you have good experience in the same job, they might call you. Good Luck!

Its not true...I don't agree that its only through connections, overseas recruitment is purely through agencies and from the applications they receive through the website. I got in QP without any wasta.

But job qualifications and right education means diddly squat (nothing) if you are working for the wrong type of person or in the wrong department. Once you are here, it really does boil down to who you know ... and who you have upset on where you can go in QP.

QP has such a long way to go in becoming a professional company and up there with others in it's field.

Actually QP has over 85 different nationalities working for it at all levels. The MBA could (or might not) be important but it really depends on your experience and where you work. I've got an MBA and work for QP, but I also have over 20 years of experience.

I'm not saying that wasta (or networking in the West) won't help, but its probably no stronger than for any other company.

How can you expect people have connection when they just arrive in Qatar?

Out of curiousity ... it would be interesting to see the break up of nationalities employed by QP. My betting that it certainly would not be westerners at the top.

Lately Malaysians and Indonesians seem to be the preference. With an already existing huge percentage of Indians. Then you have all the other Arab nationals.

Huge mix of nationalities work for QP.

thats right forget your academic things. QP prefer westerners or people with connections
