Is John McCain Exploiting Women?
Great tactical move and the most probably reason why McCain picked Sarah Palin as his running mate is to distort the democrats female voters and take advantage of their discontent of not having hilary as a presidential candidate.
But isn't this exploitation of women? He did not chose her because of her track record but ONLY to get female voters.
thats how politic works^^
Your story associated with this post seems to be well done and some students will utilize that for their thesis proposal. But some students permanently use the aid of the dissertation service.
LOL, exactly.

No need to spend billions going to the polls.. Let's just give it to McCain now..
Probably Britexpat. So lets see he has the womens vote, the jewish vote (money and power) and now the dummies vote (Bush).

Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Democratic Party's vice presidential candidate in 2000 and now an independent is now a John McCain supporter and will speak at the Republican convention.... Aiming for the Jewish vote ?
jes... There are several instances where Obama has referred to the racial question. Don't take my word for it, here's the link of the speech he gave back in March, as an example www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=88478467
However I do apologise, Obama's nomination acceptance speech did not refer to the race issue. My bad. I thought I read the transcript, and I even went on and on on another thread about how I wasn't moved by it. Turns out it was the wrong one! Just great. Thanks for correcting me, now I'm the one crying your user name. :(
Nonetheless, I don't think Obama has avoided the issue of race or that he's doing well at the polls for this reason as you assert. I think he deserves a tad bit more respect for what he promises, and we hope, he is able to deliver as President. To completely ignore the question of race would be a little naive don't you think?
But why would you say McCains pick for VP was a great move? JMT's link is quite interesting actually. It was definitely a highly risky move, it'll either make or break the Republican Campaign.

i don't watch FOX. i watch jon stewart, and as he always does, he pointed out how even by normal standards FOX outdid itself on this occasion.
there was a poll/study done a few years back that looked at what news people watched and how knowledgeable they were. people who watched stewart were more aware of what was happening in the world than people who watched FOX - which proves how full of poo FOX is.

And you still watch Fox ??
This also shows how media can be used to influence people who don't know any better..
normally i would agree with you but McCain will be 74 or 76 on the day he takes office. if he is elected there is a fair probability he won't make it to the end of his term so i think his VP choice matters quite a bit.

considering the consistent attacks on obama about his lack of experience, i think sally is a bad pick.
FOX news, who never fail to disappoint in the area of pure biased stupidity, said that she has great international and foreign policy experience because she has governed Alaska for 20 months, a state which is geographically close to Russia.

Good article..She's a VP, so her weaknesses don't really come into play at this point. She is basically there to appeal to the female and the conservative democrats..
everyone gets exploited in politics especially during the elections...
avoiding me??? Say I dont smell!!! Afraid of a little criticism are we?? hehe
Anyway I will hit you back with a stinker, you'll be crying your user name soon as I do. Just as soon as I get work out the way...
Haha "Obama avoided this topic" you really are funny!!! Which pill have you been popping then?

lol..where have i been all your life?....well avoiding you. Please tell us what was soooo racial about his speech! What i can tell you is Obama is doing great in the polls because he avoided this topic and has done what makes him who he is.....getting people to leave their hardcore positions and work together to achieve something.
Dont get me wrong, politics is a dirty game, but I'm interested in seeing how McCain's strategy plays-out. It's a great move from a political perspective but with all the dirt coming out (Palin's daughter pregnant at 16 and rumors that the new born kid with DS is her daughter and her mom is covering up for her) I think it's going to go back to being Obama vs Obama.
Here's a good analysis of Sarah Palin from a guy who ran (as an independent) against her as governor:

Yes I agree that he picked him because of his foreign policy experience and clout amongst the middle class. However, did you hear Obama's speech when he accepted his nomination? It was mostly on race. Please tell me again that race had nothing to do with it. Please tell me race does not have anything to do with the elections. You amuse me, where have you been all my life?

He's not exploiting women, he's playing to what his advisors feel are their wants..
Some Democratic women voters probably feel that Hilary lost because of her Gender.
Some are conservative in their beliefs.
Sarah Palin will appeal to both sections..
labda,
the two are totally different. Obama picked biden not because of his race but his foreign policy experience which is one area McCain will exploit just as Hilary did.
That's right gypsy politics are dirt and as much professional as much dirtiest it's.
I do hate working for both Politics and sales department :)
Thats like asking if Obama is exploiting white middle aged middle class males....uhmmmm yeah... if you want to go all soft. Political strategy is all. This group makes up almost 1/4 of the electorate which is more than Latinos and Afican Americans combined.

Politics is a dirty game. If any woman is stupid enough to vote for him cause his VP is a woman then they deserve everything they get.
