For sure, we're all in this country for one reason: to make our lives better. I just want to ask what's your greatest achievement financially since you got here.
1. Send my kids to go to the best schools with the money I send them.
2. My parents need not work anymore: my father travels around the country to visit his relatives, tinker with whatever he fancies (diving, machinery, dabbles in small-scale business)and my mother can live comfortably.
3.I'm assured that my 3 younger siblings are okey and has no worries when it comes to my parents.
The only setback of my working abroad:
1. I don't get to see my kids grow and as a mother, I can't take back those times I'm not there when they need me the most.
2. My younger siblings tend to be relaxed and kinda dependent that BIG OLD SISTER (ATE in Tagalog/Filipino) is ALWAYS THERE to cover their backs when they get into trouble. If I was home, they know they'll get a "knuckle sandwich" from me...
3. My other relatives think that I'm oh sooo LOADED with lots of MOOLAH...and it amazes me I get to be GODPARENTS of nieces and nephews of relatives I didn't even know existed when i was still back home.
