As i have noticed and heard dat the Karwa Bus and taxi drivers over here are very reckless and drive with over speeds..Today i found dem using bad words even..Today when i was returning from Qatar University as i had my Orientation a bus driver without indications came on the First track near Al- ain complex road ..as i was in the first track i was on 100 kmh and i had to apply brakes as hard as i could.. den i horned and said asked the driver what he intended to do .. so he used a very bad word and said what can u do to me ..??

can you give me some of that stuff you are on? I want to be as calm as you when driving around Doha...

I am an accomplished driver - been at it for 17 years - never been so on edge with traffic as I am in Doha - after 4 years of driving Doha roads... i can only say inshallah has a lot to do with the fact that I am still alive!!!

i mentioned here you the possible factor usually will happen on roads now a days.. the scenario will change person to person and also depends the current mood of the drivers. At this point, i'm not justifying the driver. You should have been blocked him in the next few feats and better finish the deal face to face there itself (sorry, its my way of problem solving). But I recommend you rise a complaint against him to avoid such a situation for the future. So this small incident made your complete day upset for you.

But, you should ensure, some action has taken against the driver. 'm sure, nothing will happen and in the future the same driver gets again a chance to meet you on road, surely he will provoke you.

@ Xena

Xena, 'm in Qatar only.. driving almost 150-250 kms a day (my profession is not a driver). When 'm behind the wheels, i never show any attitude towards anybody. and never take anything as a competition or as a challenge. I know my ability, where to hit, how to react... the total sum will be the loss of a couple of hours for unwanted talks. If 'm mistake, i will happily say sorry to them. Its not a shame for me. If he is not saying a sorry to me, 'm never expecting any sorry from anyone. Because the world is different and never expecting people like me.

So my days are happy always... Good drivers just drive!

My advise is this, drive safely for your love ones. I know we can't avoid those morons along the road, but what we can do? Just stay away with them and dont let them mess your day.

No offense to my Indian friends, but for me, the worst drivers on the roads are unfortunately the Indian drivers.

Not giving way to anyone, blocking the ways for other cars even though they see the traffic is jammed and not moving. Speeding in dangerous places etc. They behave like someone is trying to steal the bread in front of them when a car is trying to cut or ask way :)

I had so many incidents with Indian drivers and their unreasonable behaviors in traffic, so i never give way to them or show them mercy in traffic :)

True or not but this is my observation.

those who are keeping an attitude on roads will have to face such kind of incidents... Good drivers just drive. So far my experience in Qatar, 99% vehicles using proper indications on lane changing. Especially a bus (public transportation) driver will not do such a wrong thing. May be you have ignored his indication primarily or may tried to go faster to cover the long distance to avoid entering the vehicle in front of you... and you loose in this incident and that made you frustrated. simple.. happens to everyone.

I experienced many times, their reasons...low salaries and not good company (they says) so, if you do the complaint they will be happy to be terminated.

The problem is, their call center will not entertain complaints since they don't want to terminate their drivers.

You should have taken the bus number & reported to police and karwa of this incident. Then just tell him what you did

Used Karwa for one and a half years... Never had a single bad experience except the absence of them in certain parts of Qatar.
