The "Kingdom"

I went and saw "The Kingdom" last night, aside from dripping with Hollywood wank including unrealistic political correctness, it was generally very entertaining.

Once scene was obviously censored though and I'm aching to know what was cut out for the benefit of the predominantly Khaleeji audience here. there was nothing sexual in it, but one of the main characters removed some kind of strap-on garment after he just escaped getting his head sliced off. has anyone seen the uncensored version and knows what this was?

oh- was that all? maybe it was just an unco-ordinated projection assistance changing the reels at the wrong time.

thanks Xena

remember, he had a noose of clothe or something tied around his neck so they could hold him...wasn't that what it was?

the scene I'm referring to was after the guy got away from the video camera where they were going to cut his head off, and he is waiting in the corridor for the other agents who go into the Abu Hamza's apartment(right near the end).

While he is waiting in the corridor, he reaches back and pulls something off his neck. it was quite clearly cut out of the movie in Qatar.

the movie was entertaining but i think it was only a VERY token effort at showing that not all muslims are the bad guys, a 1-minute scene of muslims praying isn't really indicative that most of them are against the extremists.

Then again, the director is an American Jew, so we can't expect too much insight into peaceful muslims. he might accidentally convince a few people!

love the movie...yes, it has some hollywood glitz and glam..but overall, no one really came out badly... and i loved the comeraderie between Special Agent Ronald Fleury and Cl. Faris Al Jazi

I saw it last nite as well... it was really really good... For once they didn't portray the Arab world with sheep n camels all over the place... it definitely is a good movie

I just loved the movie! At first I was thinking "oh no, this is going to be yet another anti-islam movie" but it turned out to be quite opposite. It showed the good side and bad side of muslims, and I think it was really fair.

I don't know which scene ur talking about...explain please. I might've seen the uncut version since I didn't watch it in Qatar.

No idea at all....It was good for a change but looks like the real life drama resembles to what is happening in Iraq...So america might possibly try to win the critics particularly in the Islamic world....

One thing to be learnt Nobody can solve terror....
