Kochi and Pune new IPL Teams

Initial reports suggests that Sahara Group of Subroto Roy has won the bid for IPL team Pune for 1702 Crores and Randezvous Sports has won the bid for Kochi for 1533 Crores. The Kochi Randezvous Sports is reportedly backed by the Shashi Taroor.

So two new teams from next year and the hoopla goes down south to Mallu land too

Next year I think it will be a reauction as the three years tie in period after the firt auction is over with IPL3. So except local state players affliated to particular teams we will have an auction where players will be bought like in the cattle market.

It is really gooooooood to see the so superior players from Australia being sold like cattle!!!!

FS - you can see their shirt and trousers with many logos, they are the ones paying back a good sum, plus the IPL itself. 30 to 40 000 spectators each match :), TV telecast rights.. its huge business

Well money is from Cricket board out of advertisements (tv--branding etc) then you have sponsors and I think 60% of the ticket sales
