I am upset.. I have spent the last week in the preparation to my Hobby's b’day. It takes a lot of time. One day I went to City Centre to look for the gift. Yesterday in the evening I went to Corniche to see the boats. Today after work I went to Gold souke to choose some chain for him and spent there about 3 hours. I am also meeting our friends in order to organize the surprize party. And all this I try to do in secret of course. And what do you think?? Today he got upset! Because he thinks I have got someone in my life and spend all the time with him lately! And he even went tonight to the pub and left me home alone!!
I even don’t know how to react! When he asks me where I have been till 10 pm, I don’t know what to say. It is really funny, but on the other hand it’s not, because he is in the pub right now, and I am sitting home!! What should i do?

LOL blackcat, I can so imagine the situation. If he isn't leaving u alone then wait till sunday when he goes to work, and u'll be able to work on it then. Or do u work ? Even if u do, u can manage an hour here and there to add the songs. Come on don't give up...u know u want to surprise him!

today I was going to make a movie of his picks.. actually i started to do it few days ago, today and tomorrow I was going to finish it by applying some music to it, different songs to different parts of the movie.but... I cannot find 1 hour to stay alone! I sit in the room, he walks in: "what are you dong honey?"..I close all windows right away..."Nothing, sweetheart..".. i try to go with laptop to the backyard.. he appears in 30 minutes, when I am exactly in the middle of the proccess, with HIS own laptop and sits beside me. I try to choose some music, and switch one song to another (fortunately he cannot see my screen).. he : "Why do you change music, let me put something nice".. and he puts on his own song on his own laptop. "Isn't that nice honey"? .. I am pissed off.."yes, sweetheart, it is nice"... F**! I gave up.. there is no way i can prepare anything for him in secret! that's it! he is going to get NOTHING on his B'day!

I know there’re many other layers and dimensions into marriage. I'm in total agreement with using your wisdom and rationale to overcome hurdles, let it be big or small.

Red Pope: gotta tell you this, I have to throw the gift in his face first and reprimand him, then I’ll forgive him..:)) That’s the plan!

Have a perfect weekend.

well like i said, i will keep doing whatever is in my list, and then we will see... Speedy, they ask for the boats QR200 - QR 250 per hour. it comes to about QR 1000 if I want to make a party on the water. But it's still ok. Friends will help me with food, drinks and decoration. So i think that's what i am going to do next weekend. I am almost done in my preparations. The hardest thing was to find and sort out different options. Since I made my decision things will go smoother. So next week the family storm will calm down I hope.

thanks guys again for help and supporting.

Happy Happy, i understand you. Maybe I would have done the same in my 17-18.. I am also hard headed. but now I try to use it for better..

and i will let you know how was it.LOL

Only in a Cornellian world of perfection those expectations occurs. Would I return or accept the excuses? Depends in the severity of the offense. Most of the time is grounds and roots for a nasty separation or divorce.

It boils down to love and forgiveness. We all know there is two stories to be heard, Their story and your story. Which one is true?

Do you believe that man are angels?

Do you believe that woman are angels?

Oh come on HH, it's not worth getting upset about. If my partner was to disappear for weeks till late at night and not tell me where he was, I would start getting worried too. Why ruin the joy of the surprise with a silly fight ? I say just wait till his surprise party and I'm sure he's going to appreciate it so much, and feel so bad for the accusations and he'll apologize and make it up for her.

If I were in the same situation, I would've thrown his gift into his face, and made his life miserable, because his accusation is intolerable and humiliating.

Blackcat. I agree with cornellian. And here are my 2 cents about a surprise party:

Once upon a time, there lived a man who had a terrible passion for baked beans. He loved them, but they always had an embarrassing and somewhat lively effect on him.

One day he met a girl and fell in love. When it became apparent that they would marry, he thought to himself, she'll never go through with the marriage with me carrying on like this, so he made the supreme sacrifice and gave up beans. Shortly after that they were married.

A few months later, on the way home from work, his car broke down and since they lived in the country, he called his wife and told her that he would be late because he had to walk. On his way home, he passed a small cafe and the wonderful aroma of baked beans overwhelmed him. Since he still had several miles to walk he figured he could walk off any ill effects before he got home.

So he went in and ordered, and before leaving had 3 extra large helpings of baked beans. All the way home he putt-putted. By the time he arrived home he felt reasonably safe.

His wife met him at the door and seemed somewhat excited. She exclaimed, "Darling, I have the most wonderful surprise for you for dinner tonight!" She put a blindfold on him, and led him to his chair at the head of the table and made him promise not to peek.

At this point he was beginning to feel another one coming on. Just as his wife was about to remove the blindfold, the telephone rang. She again made him promise not to peek until she returned, and away she went to answer the phone.

While she was gone, he seized the opportunity. He shifted his weight to one leg and let go. It was not only loud, but also ripe as a rotten egg. He had a hard time breathing, so he felt for his napkin and fanned the air about him.

He had just started to feel better, when another urge came on. He raised his leg and RRIIIPPPP !!! It sounded like a diesel engine revving, and smelled worse. To keep from gagging, he tried fanning his arms a while, hoping the smell would dissipate. He got another urge. This was a real blue ribbon winner, the windows shook, the dishes on the table rattled and a minute later the flowers on the table were dead. While keeping an ear tuned in on the conversation in the hallway, and keeping his promise of staying blindfolded, he carried on like this for the next ten minutes, farting and fanning each time with his napkin. When he heard the phone farewells he neatly laid his napkin on his lap and folded his hands on top of it.

Smiling contentedly, he was the picture of innocence when his wife walked in. Apologizing for taking so long, she asked if he had peeked at the dinner table. After assuring her he had not peeked, she removed the blindfold and yelled, "SURPRISE!!!"

To his shock and horror, there were twelve dinner guests seated around the table for his surprise birthday party.

Yeah Cornellian actually it’s good that he is off to pub. At least I have time to make a movie for him using his pictures. Otherwise he is always around and I cannot hide it from him.

blackcat, DON'T TELL HIM! Actually him thinking that ur seeing someone else will only make the surprise even more surprising! So just hang in there a few more days and then blow his mind away!
