Lebanon!! Is It safe??

Hey all, i am planing to go lebanon for a small vacation, i heard it is a beautiful country, but i am still afraid of the problems there..i was reading an article today in the arabian business and it says there is a huge increase in the tourists goin lebanon this year and here is the link...

What do u advise since lebanon is a middle east country and maybe you know it better than i Do.

I have a friend who visits Lebanon all the time. It's perfectly safe (at the moment) in all the touristy places.
