All ready being done. Alot of ql'rs meet up and have fun either at local random places, or private beach or club house parties. Very fun. I have been here 10 mos and met some great new friends from here both guys n gals from all nationalities.

Yeah, things have moved on since 2006. People should read the dates of the posts and check for recent info instead of assuming that time stands still - that's the positive view, maybe people genuinely did not notice.

Or are they just trying to cause trouble? - That's the negative view which is quite true of a number of people who either can't get into the QL Social Group or got kicked out for misbehaviour.

im glad you have that idea. Im also here in qatar 3.5 months now. But you know until now I did not try to go alone to meet my friends and new people. simply because we are not allowed to see people outside work, TOo sad Its a boring life here in qatar.

Considering the social environment we live in , it wud be great to make friends thru this forum,yes and friends from all walks of life.....and may be when we go a little ahead with our forum we cud probably have a Qatar Living Club for members and take it from there....

I think it a superb idea and I'm sure my wife would love to mee new people from as it was put,"all walks " of life. I need more friends. All of the people my wife and I socialize with right now, work with her. Steve needs to be on his "best behaviour".
