living with girlfriend
Hi all.
I have searched topics and I know the legal answer to this question BUT..
I will soon be living and working in Qatar and my girlfriend is getting a job in a hotel here so she can live and be with me. It will only be for 3 months and then we will be moving on. I was wondering how often the police do checks on your marital status and realistically what the penalties would be if caught living together, not being married?
Is it too much of a risk?

Since she will be working in the hotel, they might force her to use the Company's accommodation, and then she will be under supervising. I heard there is a strict schedule for single girls working in the hotels and so. they cannot be at the bar/pub of the same hotel, they have been checked what time they come home, and administration makes sure that they sleep at their rooms, and not outside... so check this point regarding her accommodation.

dont worry brother.... police wont check very often.. as earlier answers if someone report only u will be in trouble.. (Hope noone will do that).. so be happy no worries...

they dont need any time table for that. either some one will report you to the authorities or you will get caught by the home owner and mostly its the neighbours who report. SO JUST FORGET IT.

about police checking, i think it happens late night on road if u are drunk and so on. If they feel there is something wrong happening in any apartment only, they keep an eye on the person and one day they rade the house... but dont worry... there are lot of people who stay with their girlfriend.... If u dont be afraid its gonna solve ur problem, coz she willingly is staying with u ...
If the job she's getting supplies a work Visa then you've nothing to worry about - if she comes in on the tourist visa she'll have to leave the country and renew.
Loads of people live with girlfriend. Don't worry about it
If somebody ask, you just say "she doing laundry only, by hands..." and this is my way to pay for...otherwise I must do it by myself..:)))Maybe works...try...
