Is Londonistan Safe for 2012 Olympics?

Media biase is clearly seen here.

Remember the Commonwealth Games in Delhi? Every 2 bit anchor in BBC were questioning the security & bashing a "third world" country to host the game.

Why complete silence now. Can UKstan provide security? Many rioters are whites and born britishers.

What UK gonna do now. Ship all the rioters to Australia as they use to do  years back? Sorry Oz is no more UK colony.

Let's see how "Neutral" BBC gonna spin these.

BEIJING - China’s state media has questioned the ability of London’s embattled police to “maintain social order” for the 2012 Olympics after Britain suffered its worst riots in decades. “In less than a year, London will hold the Olympics, but will British society be able to maintain stability and will British police be able to maintain social order?” the state-run China National Radio said on its website.

If the England or Australian  cricket teams were in Bombay and there were some riots or trouble out there this  teams would have made a lot of noise that Bombay and India is not safe and taken the next flight home but while the same trouble and worse is going on all over and around London at the moment they try to show that everything is rosy and under control out there.

toty, having a credit rating of AAA+ doesnt matter. seems like you have not been reading the news then. whoever said it is being done by blacks, shows the bias of the poster. people of every skin color is involved in the looting.

I have noted that you have removed my post above since it was assumed that I had criticised, bullied or insulted any other member. This is incorrect. There was neither any such intent or content in my post. However, if you look at the title of a part of this node "Londonistan", you may come to know that this very title contains all such ingredients which can hurt the feeling of other QL members. If, in your opinion, my post hurts anybody, the title hurts other people. Then why dont you remove this node altogether?

Do you have any explanation?

Mangiboy, When did I say India is bad? Where? You might be some troll who wants to provoke people to start country-bashing. I know you have nothing to do even with India. Listen, I have more reasons to love India than you have being an Indian. India is a country which gave me my cultural identity. This is the country where Urdu, the language I love, was born. Seventieth, eighteenth and Nineteenth century India spawned great intellectual and literary giants like Ghalib, Sir Syed, Iqbal, Akbar, Shibli, Aazad--the list is endless. I’m sure you are hearing these names for the first time.

Was LA safe after the LA riots?  Is Vacouver safe after the riots after the Stanley Cup loss?  Yes to both.   London will be fine, the rioting will be adressed and the culprits punished.  The government will still be stable and in control, and the attitude during the Olympics will be one of celebration, not anger.

They are not known for being smart people and their cousins across the Atlantic are much worse off. Somehow they seem to be treated as better then the rest out here in the Gulf.

Good old Joe: UK continues to punch above it's weight. Their government considers themselves leading lights in giving Travel Advisories.Last year Goa lost significant Tourism income because some idiot in UK embassy circulated notice that India is not safe for travelling due to Mumbai attack. The retard didn't even know that Goa and Mumbai are two different states.

One reason London was given the games was because of its safety and security record which as it looks today was more of a whitewash for the administrators at the Internaitonal olympic commitee  who choose London over much more safer, secure  and visitor friendly places.

mathboy, it seems you can predict peoples personal life. Are you the latest Prophet?Cortina: you missed the point. I have all my sympathy for innocent people and loss of property. I support UK police who are doing great job trying to maintain the peace. My point is the media biase. Forget Delhi Commonwealth Games, the same turds were question Security situation in Qatar for hosting 2022 Fifa World Cup.Why not even a passing mention of London Olympics? which is going to be hosted just next year at a time when Europe is going through a turmoil both Economically as well as Socially.

Of course London is safe (as any other western country), the problem with the Delhi games was more a case of organisational fiasco. The financial bungling, organisational bribery etc.The London games will be fine, you cannot criticise a country that has AAA+ credit rating......lol even USA does not have that, or come to matter nor does India. That is why the minor problem in London does not ruffle any feathers in the BBC or even the Indian Times.

1. It's Britons- not britishers

2. Many of the rioters are young, black youths not white. (Not that skin colour makes any difference)

3. These kids are just taking advantage of the situation and looking for some excitement in areas of high unemployment/deprivation.

4. The police are criticised for taking a heavy hand or being too soft- they can't win.

5.The British police are amongst the most highly trained police in the Western world.
