Man held for stealing in mosque
Saudi police arrested a man seen in a film shot by a child stealing the cooling machine in a mosque in the Gulf Kingdom.
Police said they managed to identify the thief after the film went viral on social networks showing him dismantling the air conditioning system and loading it on his van.
‘Ajel’ newspaper said a child who was his mother near a bank in the capital Riyadh saw the thief and used his mobile phone to film him in the act.
It said the arrested man confessed that he had stolen cooling systems from many mosques in the country.

As if stealing from non-religious place is not as bad as stealing from a religious place.
There comes a stage when you are directly connected to the Almighty , then you are not answerable to any one else ....................
Brit, There is a BIG difference between a SAINT & a soldier ................
Great logic MM. He's filmed stealing . The Police arrest him. He confesses his crimes .. Yet you feel that the police are wrong
It may be a conspiracy , may be somebody is behind him & forcing him to make such mistake against his free will, we don't know , some body may borrow things like that in some special situations ....... plus he might be having a plan to return the borrowed items ........ we should not hurry up to make conclusions ..........
There are also people in this world with a dead brain. Even school will not correct them.
There are people in this world who live with a dead conscience. Even a prison term will not correct them.
From the name of the newspaper "Ajel" which means "quick" or "fast" in English, it is quite evident the newspaper is in the Arabic language. The translation must have been from someone who is not very good in English.
Just for information, there are many "native" English speakers who speak and write very poor English. I come across such "native speakers" of English off and on at Qatar Living off when they post something, and I am sure you too must have also. Reading their posts makes me raise my eyebrows. But then, there are no objections raised.
Any reasons? Of course there are reasons!
Anyone who steals from a house of worship is a low life and deserves to be punished
"a child who was his mother near a bank..." How low can English proficiency get?
Let justice be done to this man
