As per this experiment , poor people are more honest than rich people..

I don't buy that. There are honest and dishonest in all walks of society.

What say you ?

wizz14: People get rich through several means. First, they may be rich through inheritance as in the case of royal families. Second, some may won a lottery and such people are simply the lucky ones. Third, there are a limited few who rise to the top through sheer hard-work and ingenuity and their numbers are so limited that they are used as examples to others. Most of the rich accumulate wealth through dishonesty, cheating, robbing others through several means, etc. In short they make their money by hook by crook. In this regard I recall a very lovely quote by the French philosopher Honore de Balzac: Behind every great fortune there is a crime.

The basic problem with the poor people is that they hold on to the values taught to them by their parents when they were children. Added to this are the religious teachings they have received from the time they were young that cement their beliefs on the rewards of honesty just not in this world but in the life hereafter. They hold on to these values dearly and rigidly and while suffering in this world, always look forward to a better life in the next world. Thus honesty is to be found more within this lot of people. On the other hand, the rich live a materialistic life. Truth, honesty, fair-play etc is nowhere near them. These people may even be thinking the poor and honest to be downright stupid. They just want to make a fast buck by hook or by crook. Their God is Money. Possibly the only time they may get to remember God is when they are on their deathbed, and then they repent. I believe there lies the basic difference.

Funny how the old man immediately offered to throw it away for him. I wonder what their reaction if he told him they're being recorded :O

MM is back once again in full form with his one-line posts. As he clarified earlier, he writes as "ideas flow into his mind" and they flow in with each passing second!0)-
