you are toing to read in the few coming lines a real story and i need your comments about it.
my friesnt who works at hamad emergency told me that they had a wierd case at the emergency ,a known person, assistance excutive director of EMS stepped to A/E as a patient, t sounds normal right ? but the ubnormal thing is his chief complaint , he was having a quite big carrot stuck in his a** and he was there to have it out of him !!!!!!
the strange thing is that this man was proud of being gay and he was acting as if there is nothing seriouse happend and its a normaal thing,
i wounder how HAMAD MEDICAL CORPORTION / EMS are recruiting gays in their department ?
couldnt they find a straight man to recruit or this man is highly qualified so that they didnt put in their consideration him being a gay ?

There are lots of homosexuals around in gulf region. Some of them are at very high level position. But frankly, it's their personal life. Besides, if you start objecting to every aspect of their life(like drinking & their sexuality), how will they work here?
And, BTW it's very unprofessional of HMC staff to make such public news. Every patient has a right to confidentiality. And not maintaining it is a breach of medical ethics.
But then who said HMC is an ethical place?

its kinda uncommon to see such things here ,it it was in europe i wouldnt surprised if they tell me that a manager uses his didlo during tea break ....

i kinda doubt the story.. i feel like there's a bit of exageration.. who do u think would be so proud to be in that situation especially knowing that he have a certain position in an office? obviously he don't have any other choice but to seek for a medical assistance to have it removed...it doesnt mean his proud or anything..

Qatar must have one of the highest rates of homosexuality anywhere.... so for sure you work, live next to and socialise with gay people... you are just unaware of it
Discriminating against gays isn't racist, as being gay is not a race. It is discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation.
I don't see how one's sexual preferences comes into play in his ability to perform his work, however if he is openly talking about shoving carrots up his ass then that is inappropriate in the work place irrespective of your sexual orientation.

if i were in the position of power and authority i wouldnt recruit a gay in my department even if he is highly qualified,especially in a work envoirnment which is all MALE :)

Actually, there is no issue about what you posted.
being gay doesn't disqualify him as an employee, as long as he has the brains. Unlike other men, who talks but doesn't know how to walk.... In this case where Qatar doesn't accept gays...i'm sure he tried not to show everybody that he is such.

I don't think sexual orientation should be a consideration in hiring anyone.
The carrot think is strange, but not unheard of.
