Men can live up to 19 years longer!

The secret is out. men can live up to 19 years longer. Perhaps this is why our own Dracula has such a long life..

Question: Would you take this route to gain an extra couple of decades ?

______________

Researchers have shown that eunuchs living in Korea centuries ago outlived other men by a significant margin.

They say their findings suggest that male sex hormones are responsible for shortening the lives of men.

The evidence comes after study of genealogy records of noble members of the Imperial court of the Korean Chosun dynasty (AD 1392-1910).

Kyung-Jin Min, of Inha University, said: "This discovery adds an important clue for understanding why there is a difference in the expected life span between men and women."

Eunuchs were allowed to marry and had families by adopting castrated boys or normal girls.

Amongst the 81 eunuchs they studied, three lived to the age of 100 or more, a feat of longevity that remains relatively rare even in developed countries today.

Women do not outlive men generally. It is because cardiovascular mortality, although much less in early years in females compared to males, is levelled after menopause when the protective effects of the female hormones wanes.

MN, you may be right but we also heard that heaven lies beneath mother's feet (or something like that),

perhaps Henry Louis Mencken did not this angle.

Life without sex might be safer but it would be unbearably dull. It is the sex instinct which makes women seem beautiful, which they are once in a blue moon, and men seem wise and brave, which they never are at all. Throttle it, denaturalize it, take it away, and human existence would be reduced to the prosaic, laborious, boresome, imbecile level of life in an anthill. ~Henry Louis Mencken

sex is not as essential as water & air;

3 mnts without air/oxygen & 3 days without water will make you die but not w/o sex.

No one can live without sex! It goes against nature.

As human beings it’s in our nature to want to sex, whether that’s with the opposite sex, same sex, or with ourselves, BOTTOM LINE IS ((we as humans NEED sex as much as we need water and oxygen)).

It will be really boring to live with bad eye sight and bad hearing and not able to walk properly and not able to fight well..lol

What are they going to suggesting? Castrate ourselves?

There is a growing body of evidence in favor of testosterone--- the main male hormone. It is role in over all well being is clearly established. There is even a suggestion that the hormone may even have therapeutic value in many emotional disorders.

FOODS FOR LONGEVITY

1. Broccoli For Cancer Protection  Broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables are full of sulforaphane and other antioxidants that help to protect healthy cells from damage caused

by free radicals. But when it comes to the veggies, raw may be better: recent research has found that boiling in water has a "leaching effect."

2. Whole Grains For Cardiovascular  Health Whole grains offer a variety of antioxidants and vitamins, and are packed with fiber, known to help protect against high cholesterol and

regulate blood sugar levels, which can safeguard against diabetes. And one type of whole grain in particular -- oats -- has a unique antioxidant

called avenanthramides that can offer additional protection against cholesterol.

3. Berries For Brain, Bone And Brawn Not only are berries good for extending life -- they improve the quality of later years. Berries are chock full of antioxidants that help protect against

free radical damage, but as Whole Living reported, one antioxidant in particular -- anthocyanins -- is particularly useful for brain function,

balance and muscle retention.

4. Dark Chocolate For Anti-Inflammation  Dark chocolate is full of inflammation-reducing flavonoids, a compound that also has antioxidant properties and helps prevent blood clots.

But reducing inflammation is its real longevity trick, as research shows that molecular inflammation may be responsible for much aging and cell death.

5. Tomatoes For Cancer Prevention  Tomatoes are a great source of lycopene, the fat-soluble nutrient that helps to protect against some types of cancer, like prostate, lung and stomach cancers.
