MES Indian school - Bus issue

Hi Guys,

Need some advice.

My child is in MES school (Indian School). And we are facing problem thru their transport department.

The construction is going on between my building and bus stop (see screen shot please) and we requested the driver to change route (small change and better road), but he clearly mentioned why should i leave my comfort zone, its child's (or parent) problem and not my problem.

We understand driver, he cannot hear to all parents, he also have his own principals, but this is unavoidable situation, we expected surely he will understand, but instead he is going rude.

Other bus driver has changed the route, because its impossible to walk beneath cranes etc. and more over dangerous.

This is whats been done...

- We called transport manager, he said, talk to driver, only if he agrees.

- Driver said, you go and talk to principal, it doesn't make difference to me.

- We went and met school primary principal personally, he said go and talk to transport. In transport, they very rudely denied and said no way.

- We went back to Principal, he said he cannot do anything, its transport matter. You talk to main principal. We said we will go to higher authority like SEC. Principal said, if you go to SEC, your child will be in trouble.

Now we are helpless.

- We thought of leaving bus service, and hiring a private taxi, even though it will be expensive. But it is illegal and bus is safer than other transport.

- We thought of changing school, but there are no admissions available in any Indian school we inquired (is there any school with admissions open, please advice.)

We are in fix, only bus driver needs to be convinced to do what other drivers are doing.

May i ask suggestions from you on...

-Is there admission open in any other school?

-How to take help from higher authorities in matter like this.

-Is private taxi really illegal

Please advice.

Loa to be frank, MES is such a rude and heartless institution when it comes to customer service. I have also experienced it on a couple of occasions. Manage somehow without seeing the overhead cranes but seeing the road in front of you. Make serious lookout for other schools and in due time remove the child from there. Keep a record of all these bitter experiences and draft a report to present to the SEC when the time is ripe. Parents can adjust but need not be beggars coz. we pay for our children's needs if not for their luxury.

Other option is to involve the construction company , their safety officer , their senior manager ......... they must come forward to help the kid ............. they have spoiled the situation so must take the responsibility to resolve it .......... construction comapny is the real culprit I believe .......

MM, after i requested driver and insisting on route change, he was rude to my small kid, same day while coming back. Rude to an innocent kid who keeps on saying, "dad, i am scared of these cranes, i don't want to go to school.... :-(

WTurkey and Brit, thanks for reading my woes.

I have been giving him few dollars every month :-), in good faith. But i didn't want to mention, as you will understand. The purpose was just to offer little help to the driver and the conductor.

Just listening the word Uncle from a kid , any bus or taxi driver's heart will melt ........... try this ......... let your kid ask him directly .........

The bus driver will change his mind for a few dollars more.
