Moronic Mum leaves kids alone for 2 weeks

A MUM who left three kids alone for two weeks to go on “honeymoon” was returning last night to face a grilling from cops.
Simten Sadiq, 33, claimed she had married a millionaire barrister in an Islamic ceremony in Austria.

Police found the back door to her terraced council house open and Amira 11, Saarah, six, and Mohammed, five, hiding under a bed.

The children were taken into care after a tip-off from neighbours. Cops said they were healthy.

One neighbour said of Simten’s bloke: “He came on Monday three weeks ago. They married on Tuesday, he left on Saturday and then she disappeared.”

Simten was said to have met the man via a Muslim internet dating agency.

But the kids’ dad, Parvez Sadiq, 37, said he was still legally married to the mature student in Britain.

He said he was told the children were in care by a social worker on Saturday.

The taxi driver, who lives nearby in Burley, Leeds, with their eldest child Haroon, 14, fumed: “She said her new man was a better lover.”

He said they wed in 1992, but their marriage hit the rocks two years ago after she told him she loved her college lecturer.

Simten will also be quizzed over claims she left the kids alone in April after filling the fridge with fish and chips.

Police said: “We are establishing if an offence was committed.”

Crime/Stupidity, either way she shouldn't be allowed to have children.

Is child neglect a crime or is it stupidity?

Do we lock people up for being stupid?

If we did, where would we draw the line?

I think its good idea gypsy... also agree with everyone here that the mom was moronic but wen i was a kid i always wished my parents would do something like this and we'd(my brother n me) would get the house to ourselves:)

I'm not planning to weed out a race or make everyone blonde haired and blue eyed, I just think we need to take having children more seriously.

A mom since about 18-19 judging by the oldest son's age. I imagine the kids survived because she only recently had them living with her--they were with their father.

Hardly comparable to the Nazis Vasquez. Our suggestion here is not to obliverate an entire race of people.

Yup Amoud. Once there's a practical way to do it, I'll be behind the license to have children thing 100%

I agree with Gypsy on this :)

People need a license to drive a car, go fishing or even own a dog but anyone can have a baby... sad isnt it.

I am not comparing children to dogs, but I once adopted a dog from a shelter and had to have an interview with the dog and my family, sign an agreement that I would not give the dog away and that I would not object to random visits (the dog was micro-chipped) by the society. I think it also stated I had to take the dog for annual check ups.

Once again can I bring up my idea for sterilizing people who shouldn't have children?
