Mother of all sick hoaxes
We've all told a lie sometimes in our lives .. But surely this is too much.
So, was there an instance where you lied and were found out OR wished you hadn't done so ??

A New York school employee scammed an extra week on a tropical paradise holiday - by fooling her bosses into believing her daughter had died.
Joan Barnett had one of her daughters call the school to say her sister had suffered a heart attack in Costa Rica, reports the New York Daily News.
She then had another daughter call the school later that day to say the sister had died and the family were traveling to the country for a funeral.
Mrs Bennet even faxed a forged death certificate of her daughter, Xinia Daley Herman, to Manhattan High School of Hospitality Management as proof of the death.
It meant she was able to spend two-and-a-half weeks in March 2010 - including her school-sanctioned spring break - in the tropical paradise.
But a school official grew suspicious of the death certificate because it contained "slightly different fonts which were not aligned properly", according to a report.
Costa Rican government officials later confirmed the certificate was a fake, noting the document had identification numbers that had been issued to a man in 2005.
The plot cost Mrs Barnett her job. She also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor over the forgery in Manhattan Criminal Court.

Reasonable ground to LIE.....uuuhhhhh acceptable ;D
I had landed a great job in Dubai while I was working for a construction company in Kuwait. The UAE company had already sent to me a visa and they expected me to join within a week. The only way to take out my passport from my employer was to have a fax sent from India to them informing of my brother's ill health and prepare grounds for an emergency leave. The trick worked.
The woman is scarily scheming and should never be trusted. Lying about something like the death of your own child...yikes that's sick!
God knows I've lied plenty times in the past, specially as an advertising/marketing personnel and to my parents, and regret today for every single time I've done so.But in the last seven years I can safely say I've given up this vice for good, Insha Allah, and will only fib if it means the outcome will bring about some good and benefit to another.
double post

"I've had an awful time." Brit told his friends. "First, I got angina pectoris, then arteriosclerosis. Just as I was recovering, I got psoriasis. They gave me hypodermics and, to top it all, tonsilitis was followed by appendectomy.
"Wow!" symphatized his friends, "How did you pull through?"
"I don't know," Brit replied. "It was the toughest spelling test I've ever had."
he he - the scam would have worked in QL and one would have made enough money :)

Just share an instance of where you fibbed and wished you hadn't ...
