My Neighbor..

Oh my God, PMSL. The Peruvian woman next door complained to the building manager about the ‘much noise’ that was coming from my apartment every Friday and Saturday. She told them that I have people around every weekend (in atypical voice) and she doesn’t know why. One more complain, she said I always have guests hanging out at the foyer which bothers them. I was like “Sorry Madame, but those are not my guests”, which is true.

I know why. I have friends/social life. The funny this is, the building manager loves me, apparently and doesn’t give a concern on what she thinks.

It’s so funny. She’s Peruvian and her husband is Russian- they make no sense put together. Humor me. There are raised voices I heard: “CID.. SATURDAY.. DRUNK.. FRIDAY.. ALWAYS PARTY.. GUITAR.. NOISY.. AND SO MUCH LOAD MUZZIICCC.. TSK.. TSK..”. I had to restrain myself from giggling but I wasn’t successful, I found myself chuckling. FML.

After the incident, I sent a gm from my phone saying “Don’t you hooligans ever think about coming to my house ever again”.

So yeah, have you ever complained about your neighbor and vice-versa? LOL.

Sounds like you're being pretty Ignorant to your neighbour. Why don't you just turn your music down.

I've got problems with my neighbour, complaining about my teenage kids sitting outside in the evenings with their friends. Says they are 'out of control' and 'why they have to have friends over all the time?' My husband politely pointed out that there's not many places for teenagers to go in Doha, and we're happy to have their friends over to our house, know what she said???? (this is SOOO stupid) 'Well, you should have thought about that before you accepted the job and moved to Qatar'. Give me strength!!!!!

If she wants no noise or hassle from neighbours, she should be living in a stand alone villa miles from anywhere, not on a compound. Are we not allowed to use our yard and sit outside when we want to???

This girl from 2nd floor complained once and even went to our flat saying that she can't sleep because of my loud music and so lessen the sound, but actually it's not that loud. Besides, she's known to be a complainant according to my friend who's actually her flatmate. But teaser as i am, i've done it again few days back but she didn't come back...still waiting til now ;)))

Neighbor opposite is another story altogther....has 5 kids and if anyone of them is misbehaving or screaming, they lock them out in the passageway to scream their lungs out!!

Hate it when ppl have no consideration and take their neighbors for granted...

Of course you can have guests and parties, but is the music loud enough to shake the building and does it go on all hours of the night?

I called security on my neighbor after listening to their LOUD music for hours. It was after midnight and on a weeknight. My kids had school the next day and couldn't sleep. Luckily my compound security agreed with me and closed the party down.

well, if you're flats are situated such that one's loud music can disturb the other, i think you should think about having some sense of others.

if you want to play or make loud music, keep in mind also that perhaps the neighbors would like to rest on weekends and have some peace and quiet.

my flat allows me to have very loud music, and the neighbors don't hear a thing. so i am not a nuisance to my neighbors. but if they could hear the loud sound, i would be more considerate, and turn the volume lower.
