its only 11 inch

Sony, the world's second-biggest maker of consumer electronics, displayed Monday the first television for the commercial market with an organic light-emitting diode display.

Sony announces first television with an organic light-emitting diode display

The 11-inch display TV called XEL-1 - set to go on sale Dec. 1 in Japan for 200,000 yen (US$1,700; EUR1,200) - measures just 3 millimeters (0.12 inches) thick, about the same as a coin.

DVD can not hold HD Movies.

Blue ray disc and HD-DVD are the next generation discs and u need appropriate players.

Blue ray disc was developed by SONY and it uses blue laser to burn so is the bigger capacity.DVD uses red laser to burn.Blue ray disc can hold 25 Gb in one layer and 50 Gb in two layer.

Some movies are out in this format.Samsung has already put BLUe ray disc player on sale.

Sorry for having it put in a wrong way.

4:3 is the old standard aspect ratio and this is gonna be outdated.Though many of the programs that u watch on ur widescrren Tv appears to be 16:9, they are actually 4:3 and squeezed to 16:9.

As I understand, the resolution is 4:3 and 'expanded' to 16:9 a square of 4:3 therefore giving the picture a faded look. Kindly let me know the meaning of blue ray disc. Thank you.

All New Tv and monitors come in 16:9 ratio.

16:9 is the widescreen and high definition is also based on 16:9.

HD's are going to be evreywhere soon

blue ray disc and HD DVD all support HD video.

There r few channelse transmitting HD.

M12, 4:3, and 16:9 is the aspect ratio of the screen. How will this get outdated??

Qatexpat : If you are planning to use the TV screen for computer presentation as well than I suggest you go for LCD.

Go for a HD( High Definiton ) LCD TV as the normal 4:3 and 16:9 is soon to be outdated.

I think Samsung is by far the best. However, I recommend, go for Plasma TV instead of LCD. I have observed that action oriented movies get blurred in LCD screen. Also when you watch LCD screens from sides/corner picture gets disoriented. What I mean is, the vicinity for audience gets limited.
