NEW JOB OFFER IN QATAR

Hi Everyone!

Please could you help with some info regarding the following?

I am an Australian working in the engineering field.  I have been with my company for 7 months now, but i have received an offer from a australian company which i want to join (Also in Qatar).  Is there any Law that forbids me to do this?  I am on an unlimited contract with my current employer, and it only states that i need to work one year for them otherwise i will pay them back my relocation fee.

Does this mean after a year i will be able to join this new company that also operates in Qatar?  Youe help will be appreciated!

Cheers!

Thank you very much guys - this helps me a lot! I think I will get NOC as I work for a international company with good global reputation and image - I don't think they will risk damaging their image by not giving NOC's to employees!

Thank you once again! Good luck with job search!

You need to stay one year with your present sponsor, and after a year you can ask them NOC. If they don't want to give NOC, this will be a problem, because without NOC you cannot work any where in Qatar.
