New to Qatar! - 4WD guidence needed!

hi all,
i'm new to qatar, and interested in doing some light 4WD over the desert to the Inland Sea.
I don't know the first thing about getting there, or what to bring, so any guidance would be appreciated!
I have a BMW X3, which is no Landcruiser, but I beleive it should be good enough as long as i am not dune jumping!

2nd thing, soft roading skills are barely enough to drive the "sealine" area. trust me. "dune jumping" you dont have to do this. it will happen!!!

you have to travel 34 km thourgh the sand dunes to reach to the inland sea "KHOR AL UDAID" but, the problem is x3/x5 or even x6 can't reach there w/o getting struck x times. (i know, landcruiser in not the only 4x4) so, my advice to you is to go in a group, or try going with one of the trip operator like, gulf adventures or something like that and see if you can reach to the point we are talking about.
