New Traffic law

Since the new Traffic law came into existence, I noticed many people complaining about a fine which is stated as follows:

"LOADING A VEHICLE IN A WAY THAT CAUSES DANGER TO PEOPLE AND PROPERTIES"

Does anyone has any clue, what is this all about?

From the comments that are listed,it seems that no one knows for sure whats this fine for?If you ask for proof at the traffic department, they say they don't have any proof and if you don't pay the fine, they will not renew your road permit. So everyone be careful otherwise you will be surprised when you go to renew the road permit. If anyone knows for sure what this fine means then let others know,so they can be more careful.

Have a nice weekend.

Loading does not mean parking - obviously the policemna did not know either.

I recieved one of these and on speaking to the traffic police discovered the fine is basically for parking illegally, ie on black/white striped kerb near junction or on the side of a main road

You are all so clever but I myself avoid driving behind an overloaded vehicle.

About three weeks ago on the Hamad Hospital Crossing a van transport water came to a sudden halt, in doing that half of his load of water came violently out of the doors of the van if it had hit the car behind someone would have surely died.

It could be that you loaded or unloaded someone from your car at the side of the road wherein it will cause traffic to other vehicles and endanger the person. It should have been NO LOADING/UNLOADING Zone.

it could be over speeding as well.

dont look at the translation.

If you have doubt go ask for proof

Thanks for the reply.Initially I thought the same but the fines were on a Honda CRV and Cayenne. So I was confused and thought of asking on QL.But no one here seems to have an idea.I got to find out to avoid any unnecessary fines,as the fine amounts were Qrs.600 and Qrs. 1000.Thats quite a lot.

It means overloading your pickup, van or lorry to the effect things can fall off when driving, as this is a hazzard to the person behind you and can actually kill them.

You will see many pickups overloaded and leaning over to one side or have things hanging out the back without a red flag or an appropriate object to mark the load.
