I received a text message a few weeks ago (because I donated blood in a blood bank van that came to my employer).
It took me about an hour of driving round trying to find the right building, but I eventually found a blood donation centre.
It's Hamad Hospital, it's on the Marhaba map, the junction near Ahli Bank and Regency Travel and the underpass (old athletes village building).
Basically, drive from that Hamad Hospital junction towards sports roundabout. I think it's the first (or maybe second turning) on the right. And then it's right again, and it's a little low-lying annexe building.
I know they really need O -ve.
People with O-ve blood are universal donors, which means that anyone else of different blood groups can receive the blood, it doesn't need to be cross-matched, which means it's very, very useful. But I vaguely recall that only around 10% of people are O-ve.
It doesn't take long. I drove there and drove away. You don't need any long recovery time.
I have o negative - called the number - no answer
i have no idea ... maybe you should call the number. None of us in the family have that O- bloody type. Hopefully somebody could help.
What is the name/address of hospital ?
